It's a little late in the season to be spending points on gear right now. I'd just collect the purple honor-based epics from BGs right now and then slowly collect the blue 2 PC. Wait for season 2 and spend 5k pts. on gear. But like someone else said, maybe pickup a 2 PC Gladiator set if you risk going over 5k some week.
