in 2v2, to beat 2 mages, you should bubble pre-emptively and spam heal your partner. Once the pom pyro is done, the fight is basicaly over. Haven't lost to a double mage team since I've started doing that.
If they decide to wait your bubble out...your dpser should be able to burn one down with your help.
