As some of you know, there has been much speculation about the new haste gem. Someone on my server was lucky enough to get the pattern today, and I jumped on it. I then proceeded to arena for a few hours, to farm up some points, and ran ProcWatch on it, the buff named "Skyfire Swiftness". The buff itself increases haste rating by 240 for 6 seconds.

Now, there are three things that must be noted about that procrate. First, it's a PvP environment, and therefore SnD does not have constant uptime, which has a definite effect. Second, ProcWatch double counts it due to the buff fading having a combat log event, resulting in an actual procrate of half what is shown. Third, the statistical sample is far too small to draw any real conclusions - this is just a preliminary test I felt like running.
Now, with the data representing a .8 ppm, once SnD is added, my best guess is about 1.0 ppm in a PvE environment.
Once again, this test has no real meaning, just more of a proof that it does, in fact, proc a reasonable amount.
I just got it today - haven't had a chance to run any real test yet.
