Combined with the context of the Death Knight's introduction in the trailer (where Arthas claims they are working for him all along), could the Death Knight class be more of a gimmick class? Where you basically get to re-level from 68-80 as a Death Knight in Northrend doing quests for Arthas instead. Nothing substantial (in that, no one will have a Death Knight "main"), but it allows them to add a lot more cool lore and quest lines into the game from the Bad Guy's perspective.

They also said the Death Knights would be a endgame raid class. So maybe you hang out with Arthas, helping him along, then when you reach 80, you realize he was wrong and it becomes a usable character for the factions.
But then that brings the problem of gearing up, unless quests give epic quality tier X gear. Which they would be able too, since you aren't really able to instance at that point.
