Apologies for quoting a post from page one of this thread, but I felt I had a useful resource to contribute. If this post is useless, please delete it.
Dollar, I used to run a setup similar to yours and I found
this thread instrumental in getting everything I wanted to work the way I wanted. When you change to a dual monitor setup, the UIParent frame stretches accross both monitors, including the viewported space. So any mods or base components of the UI that anchor themselves to that frame will not behave as you want them to. This includes the red error text. You can correct this by setting the UIParent frame to the size of the monitor you want it to actually use. This can be done manually with a script command, or with a mod that does it for you automatically. The guide in that thread includes the text of the mod for your convenience. I found that after I used that setup, I had no issues with my dual monitors.
I know
this screenshot is ancient, but it's how my UI looked when I used a dual monitor setup. I have since switched to a
widescreen 24" UI
. In general though, that Dual Monitor Guide is excellent for anyone who wants to try it out!
