Not exactly farming gold, but farming Aldor rep tokens (which can be sold) is best done in the Arklon ruins, just near Area52. The hounds here have the highest drop rate for Marks of Sargeras, with a decent chance for Fel Armaments as well.

They have the same drop rate as everything else. It's just that the popular database sites only count a mob as killed when it's looted - and if a mob drops nothing at all, the data gathering addons don't get the loot event.
I've found 71,66 in Shadowmoon to be fairly alright when combined with the daily A Slow Death. The Netherskates drop Fel Gland/Mote of Mana and are skinnable, the air elementals drop Mote of Air. Both drop a healthy amount of trash greys, respawn rates are good. I often get a primal mana and a primal air while I'm finishing up the daily.
