How I leveled my fishing from 100 to 300. Of course I couldn't bring myself to sell them and have since been a ninja in every raid for about 3 months straight.
I've found (as a holy pally) the best way to make money is simply to be diligent with dailies. I was able to grind out my epic flyer over the course of a few months by doing every daily I could every day. It was a bit lackluster, and took a while, but it is entirely possible to do. I've since leveled my mage to 70 (finally) and found that farming Primal Mana in Netherstorm is the quickest way for me to grind money, faster even than Elemental Plateau unless its completely deserted.
Another useful thing I've been doing to increase my cashflow is Prospecting all the Adamantite Ore I get, cutting and selling the blue gems, then transmuting the greens (and a few primals) into Earthstorm Diamonds. I have a nice supply of the +18 STAM metas waiting in the bank for when Season 3 begins to take advantage of all the PvPers buying new helms.
