During my epic mount grind I was shocked how easily it was to get gold. I did my dailies and then usually spent the length of around three movies circling Terrokar, picking everything up. I usually got something like 5-8 Black Lotuses, 8+ stacks of Terrocone and then a few stacks of other stuff. With inflating Terrocone prices up (literally monopolizing them), I could get 30-45g per stack meaning I usually got 500g total a night from herbs and dailies. Later on I got to do dailies with two accounts, which sped it up a little. This all depends on your server though, and what people are currently after herb/ore/etc wise.
