I only have a couple tips/tricks for money since most of my money is made on dailys anyways.
1) Never list your fast-seller item for the cheapest on the AH. List it for second cheapest. Lets say theres 2 stacks of netherweave for 2g, 3 stacks for 3g50s. I'll list my 3 stacks for 3g49s. Why? Most of the time some idiot has listed their netherweave for way under normal (2g.) His are going to sell fast of course... but since whoever buys his 2 stacks is probably going to need more netherweave, they'll buy mine too. If I had listed for 1g99s they'd still have bought both mine and the idiot's netherweave so I should list as high as I can. And even if he only buys the cheapest stacks, well then mine become cheapest so they sell anyway.
2) Split stack based on crafting pattern needs. I always sell Clefthoof Leather in 2's because the Clefthoof armor kit takes 2 leather. I can charge more for 5 stacks of 2 than 1 stack of 10, since I'm selling exactly what the crafter needs in exactly the amount he needs. Heavy knothide tends to sell well in 2's as well, knothide however is best sold in 10's or 20's. Basically look up the most common crafting patterns for your raw materials and sell exactly what the crafter needs to craft one of that item. A crafter will pay slightly more for a partial stack just due to convienience in a lot of cases.
