During the week I'm able to log on between 5 and 6 server time. Our raids start at 7, so I have about 1 hour to farm. I have leveled and enhancement shaman for faster farming (my main is a protection warrior) - don't ask me why I didn't level a lock or mage for that (I hate playing caster classes). That hour is spent farming primals for my primal might transmute and herbing in the meantime. I hate Elemental Plateau, as it is always overcrowded, so:
- I dive in Sylmyr Lake for motes of water (very nice drop rate for the level of monsters there)
- I fly to Shadowmoon Valley and farm motes of fire and air there
- then I fly to Netherstorm to get my dose of motes of mana.
Stopping on the way to pick up every herb possible, then flying around Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley for Netherbloom and Nightmare Vine.
All that done, I sell the might + herbs for about 170-200 gold every day, depending on the number of herbs I was able to pick.
During the weekend I use my main (miner) to stock up on metals for raids (weightstones etc.). I sell the excess metals and keep on herbing on my alt. Occasionally I will make some potions/elixirs/flasks and put them on the Auction House too. I often send herbs to the guild bank too. This way I very rarely go under 3000 gold. Mind you, I'm not a thrifty type, I spend a lot on alchemy recipes, epic blacksmithing plans, etc.
