Anyway, I discovered your site a long time back. And I appreciated it then and I do now.
The one criticism I want to be clear on is that you order things top to bottom, for instance, as PVE armor. Some things you describe as upgrades over other things aren't for the people likely to get them. And some of the relative ratings are off. We know this both from the Rogue Gear Spreadsheet, the Rogue DPS Spreadsheet, and actual expeience.

Thanks for the response. To address your point, I think what happens is that people sometimes get confused and use my general purpose
PVE chart instead of my
Maximum DPS chart when comparing gear for raid DPS. Like the person in
Post #1484 who thought Brooch of Deftness was ranked as one of the best raiding necks, but was in fact looking at the wrong chart. I think you'll find that the rankings in my Maximum DPS Chart fall pretty much in line with the results you'll get from the more precise Gear/DPS spreadsheets around here. There are always going to be minor inconsistencies, but I've been constantly tweaking my chart to correct those issues.

It doesn't mean your site is bad or useless. Quite the contrary. Your site is helpful and nicely put together and often very up to date and well maintained. But since it is indeed so popular, the prevalance of people running around saying "X is better than Y because Shadowpanther says so" for those cases where it isn't true -- and again, those cases are often the exception and not the reule -- is the downside to said popularity.

I'm well aware of this effect, and believe me, it goes both ways. I frequently get email from people asking why certain items on my charts are ranked differently than they are on the Gear/DPS spreadsheets. However, I don't have the luxury of responding with "I'm right and they're wrong" because that usually won't be the case. So, inevitably I have to take the extra time to figure out where my figures went astray so that I can correct the problem.
