[e]Your other question raises a good point, but doesn't take into account actual parry mechanics that were largely proven in the thread I linked above. If a player or mob parries one of an attacks when it has less than 20% of its swing timer left, it does not receive any parry haste, either on that attack or the next one. Similarly, if it has between 20% and 60% of its swing timer remaining when it parries, it will get a reduced amount of parry haste, because it won't lower the swing speed to lower than 20% of its base speed. Basically, 20% of the boss's parries won't result in any additional damage to the tank, and only 40% of them yield full parry-induced "extra" damage, while the other 40% is somewhere in between.

I may have misconstrued the actual parry rate. Some have said 10, some have said more (10.6, 11.2, 12) and I seem to recall that Blizzard doesn't have a fixed rate for parries for bosses. On top of that bosses that frequently turn are still exhibiting high parry rates may indicate that it is higher. However, its just a number and its secondary to my real point.
I understand the 40/40/20 split on parries. Nevertheless, the actual chance of any given boss auto attack being a parry hasted attack should be larger then its actual parry rate. Using the 3:1 ratio we'll assume that the average haste increase is a ~25% decrease in swing time. If we were to break it down a little more and throw out one attack because it occurs in the final 20% of the swing, that still leaves two opportunities for the boss to increase his auto attack speed. One chance for a 40% reduction in swing time, the other varying from 40-20%. This line of thinking makes parry haste seem more dangerous. Is this the reality of the situation?
