And spelcrit?
Are those also important for a tank pally?

There is alot of discussion in this thread surrounding spell hit, if you do a searh for it, I am sure you will find answers. Spell crit does not have much talk about it, since the only thing it would help with is Avenger's Shield, Judgement of Righteousness, Judgement of Vengeance, Exorcism, Holy Wrath, and the minor Seal of Vengeance damage when it refreshes a 5-stack.
It will not affect Seal of Righteousness, Seal of Vengeance stacks, Consecrate, Holy Shield, and Retribution Aura, which is the bulk of your top threat spells. You will also find basically no tanking gear with spell crit on it, and would have to pick up healing plate to gain any, which means you are sacrificing a ton of defensive stats for a possible boost to your lesser threat spells. You also want your threat to remain as smooth as possible, and spell crit would begin to break up smooth threat generation, and turn it into spikes.
It is not worth it.

Yes, I am sure most here have. I use them combined all the time on Illidian flames on the initial aggro, which allows DPS to open up earlier.
