Got our first bear last night with 1 min to spare, running a suboptimal group:
Prot Warrior (alt, though well-geared)
Fury Warrior
Enh Shaman
Ret Paladin (me)
Hunter
Holy Priest
Resto Shaman (alt)
2x Mage
Shadow Priest
From what I can see, the most important thing seems to be not to stress about it, just progress normally.
