The only change concerning the combat log, is a fix for arcane orbs, not the general problem that breaks the "death feature" of Recount, Grim Reaper, WWS and other combat log parsers and addons.

Though it's not in the patch notes, Slouken said some time ago it would be fixed in 2.4.2. We'll see, I guess, but it's not like the patch notes have
ever been completely exhaustive.
