Warlock protip: If you put up a Curse of Agony on something that shouldn't have a DoT (take for example a Sheep target), or if you have a Doom getting ready to detonate that you don't want to (aggro issues, possibly), you can cancel the damage by dropping any other curse onto the target (I prefer to use Shadows for this).
The applications are rare and narrow, but I've saved a mistake of mine from wiping us by doing this.
