Hmm - it looks to me like the Braided Chain is better than any neck for my usual melee group (Arms Warrior, Enh Shaman, Ret Pally, Roguex2). I'm estimating the +5 weapon damage as 2.5x that of the Striking ring enchant (11 DPS for me) so I lose 35 DPS moving from a Choker of Endless Nightmares to a Braided Chain before I take into account the crit rating. It would be a loss of 45 DPS from a Hard Khorium Choker.
I personally gain 20 DPS from the crit rating, so with my current gear it's better just taking into account the 2x Rogue buffing. If I add in the gains for the rest of the group, it becomes the best neck overall. I guess I'll have to stop just sharding these
