Well, this "bug" wasn't listed in the patch notes as being fixed. Testing will have to be done, as it may have just been a quiet change, but I don't think this particular bug was ever addressed.

This was fixed well before 2.4.2 went live and was done via hotfix around a week or two after 2.4 came out.
