My PL'd characters hit 58 in around 3 days /played with lots of afk time; I'm sure under 1 day is possible, maybe even < 12 hours if you took forever to gather rest.
A friend of mine had his account banned and he rerolled another character. He had 3-4 70s who were willing to help him virtually 24/7 to hit 70 very quickly. I can't say 100% how he did it because I wasn't with him the entire time. I believe he leveled traditionally to 20 (with a level 70 helping him kill faster- not in group). Once level 20, he went to SM. There he aoe farmed xp with a 70 mage until around level 40. Then he went to BRD and farmed there with a group of 4 70s and himself. Every pull, one of the 70s would body aggro the mobs and kick my friend from the group. Once outside the group, my friend would tag the mobs one by one and the 70s would kill them, netting him 2k experience per kill. Once all mobs were dead, he would be reinvited so that he wasn't auto-hearthed. At 55, he went to slave pens. I was actually with him for this (on an alt). And I can tell you from experience that I went from 55-60 in less than a half hour. I was getting around 2500-3500 xp per kill and we were going much much faster than your average 70 group would go through an instance even. He then went to Mana Tombs and then I think he traditionally leveled the last part of level 69. I know it took him less than three days REAL LIFE time to go from 1-70. I *think* he had to have been around 2 days played 1-70, maybe less. But like I said, he did have 3-4 people with him every second he was playing, so its not like he could have ever done anything like this without them.
