4 leechers at once would indeed be ideal; 3 people staying full time so you aren't stuck waiting for them, and your own alt hopping at on the right moments.

Quick note:
I mentioned this earlier, but there is a way out of the instance lockout.
Here's what you do:
1. Clear instance as normal
2. Go back to entrance - don't walk out yet
3. Give leadership to the 2nd player
4. Have that player kick you
5. wait until you get the message that you will be removed
6. Walk out of the instance
7. Reform the group and walk back in - the instance is repopped
There shouldn't be any lock out if you do this correctly
This works consistantly when there are only 2 people in the group. Sometimes I can't get it to work if there are more than that...I don't know why.
