The cliche "The Jury Is Still Out" hit saturation status in this morning's Pittsburgh media after the Penguins run-and-gun (another cliche, running and gunning just doesn't seem like it would be all that great in a practical sense) 5-4 victory over the Montreal Canadiens last night.

It seemed like there was a race to the computers after the clock hit 0:00 and everyone got their sound from the Penguins locker room and press conference podium to be the first guy to post "BYLSMA WINS BUT THE JURY IS STILL OUT!"

Jury still out on Bylsma is just one of many examples. Why are we so quick to dispel hope from the fan base? Granted, it's impossible to judge a coach one way or the other after just two games and a couple practices(Pittsburgh is 1-0-1 in the Bylsma era), but there are only 23 games left. Let's get the bandwagon going, get the fans excited. The change in the style of play was different in some respects (advantage in shots, time of possession, aggressive late game forecheck) but still the same in other areas (costly turnovers between the blue-line and the top of the circles, 4 goals allowed on just 23 shots). I'm here to say that it's time for Penguin fans and sports writers to do the same thing as the team is doing: quit being cautious and just put it all out there for the remaining stretch.

"It's only one game, no need to get excited." This isn't October, it's February and your team is 4 points from a playoff spot. The remaining schedule is rough (plenty of road games where the Pens have played horrendously as of late), but most of these articles remind me of Italian insults.

And I mean this with all due respect, you're an asshole.

Don't get me wrong,

Cliches: Avoid Them Like the Plague

In other news: Tiger Woods is back Wednesday, all hail the return of Golf. The countdown to Woods tee-time at Augusta has begun.
