Using this Blog feature

Hello,
I've decided I'm going start using the Blog feature on EJ a bit more. I could perhaps describe it as "starting a blog," but that's a bit misleading. I'm really intending to post the same things I already post in a variety of places, simply consolidated and more trackable (both for my benefit and yours). So the goal is to create one place where people can follow my writings on WoW (and occasionally other games), but I don't want to give the impression that I'm going to producing a different quantity or type of content than what I already post on various websites.

I do have a secondary goal of making my WoW work more directly attributable to me and traceable to a single location. Currently I post a lot of things in the midst of various forum threads, and from that point on it tends to start disseminating through the community without me having much of an idea where it goes, or anyone really keeping track of where it originated. This should give other blogs/forum posts a simple place to link when they want to reference something I've posted, and also consolidate comments and responses in one place for me.

This in no way means I'm going to stop posting on forums. I may be posting less, particularly on non-EJ forums, just because a big part of the point here is not have to do all the duplicative posting I currently do. I will definitely still be posting important findings in the relevant EJ theorycraft threads. Hopefully with my thoughts more collected here, I'll also be able to drop off a simple link when people ask questions I've already answered here.


In a similar vein, I've created a new twitter account where I'll be collecting my WoW comments: Hamlet (HamletEJ) on Twitter . Those of you who were already following my personal Twitter should follow that one now (I don't mind if you keep following my other one if you like the non-WoW posts, I just want to give the WoW people an uncluttered one to follow).

So at this point, all you need to follow to catch my WoW activity is this blog and the Twitter feed, and refer to the guides for basic information. Feel free to spread those links around; I will be trying to consistently maintain these as the location of any content I write.
