Tauren Paladins: Coolest thing ever!
If this is true I'll have my pre-order in tomorrow.
I'm curious how it will be explained lore-wise, but I really don't care. Tauren (my favorite race) + Paladin (my favorite class) = 100% awesome.

The entire concept of that leaked info makes me glad I ended my subscription this month.

I've always dreamed about being an Undead Hunter.

I think Blizzard has shifted from lore driving the gameplay to gameplay driving the lore.

I was believing everything in that mmochamp post until I came to Tauren Paladin at which I started laughing.
Seriously even Dwarf Shamans could be plausible, The Wildhammers have a strong affinity with nature and I'm sure if the Draenei can catch onto Shamanism they could pass it onto the Wildhammers. Tauren have no connection whatsoever to the light like the traditional horde (excepting Troll Priests {but they should have got warlocks instead of priests anyway a la Zalazane}). So now I'm looking at the post as an overexcited MMOchamp lackey drawing up a wishlist they made up after reading all the lore posts and genereal discussion forums. |

I have many a fond memory of doing Tempest Keep as a Tauren / Troll / Orc paladin after suffering from a race / gender change side effect on my Area 52 transporter.
Blood Elf paladins made absolutely no sense pre-2.0 either, but they shoehorned in the M'uru story and it worked fine. They'll probably do a similar thing with Taurens. |

Regarding Tauren Paladins the "in" is apparently going to be revealed in 3.2.2 with a subtle conversation. Tauren Paladins and Priests will supposedly derive their powers through sun worship to complement the moon worship that the druids engage in already. Not sure what other manifestation of "the Light" is better than the sun (at least in the Tauren context).

And there's another in with the Argent Crusade - there's no way they wouldn't be happy about more people discovering the way of the Light, and signing up as priests/paladins.

I like the sun take on it. However, i think it would be better for the undead to be the paladins and to not add any hunters to the game because it is totally unnecessary. Undead make good pallies lore wise for the following reasons
1) They already have priests 2) There is a pally trainer right next to sylvanus 3) There are forsaken in the argent dawn 4) They are closer to the blood elves then the other horde races 5) The forsaken are former humans, and some may have been paladins in life. on a final note, the only horde city with no pally trainer is Thunder Bluff just sayin |
