The topic came up in the Politics Thread in the Benefactors Bar but I thought I'd expand on my feelings about local TV news and why it's dumb (or stupid, pick your word). I'm not a regular consumer of local TV news, but I do manage to catch bits of it from time to time while moving through the cable channels.
