15/$15/15 Draenorm <Deus Vox> - Shaman

Draenorm is a Shaman that I've followed for a bit now and from talking to him off and on and talking to some friends that used to raid with him he was pretty nice and has always been helpful with many of my Shaman questions. A solid choice for my 2nd Q&A, plus he wants pizza really bad.

In-game
1. Why did you choose the Shaman class? Did you play another class first?
I played a Mage pre-bc. Rolling ignites made them an extremely fun class during Naxx. With the approach of TBC, the huge amount of mages we had, and the lack of interest others had in the shaman class, I decided it might be fun to try it out. I didn't even think about enhancement or elemental at that time, those specs were complete garbage in terms of raiding!

2. What has been your favorite boss fight while leveling and at the level cap?
While leveling the only boss I encountered was sleep deprivation (I quested all the way to 80). From what we've done in Ulduar so far, I'd have to say Mimiron is my favorite fight. It completely blows for melee due to how many things you have to be aware of at once, but the fight itself is really well done and a lot of fun. V0L7RON!

3, Laughing Skull is a fairly old server, many guilds have transfered to newer (and in some cases) more stable servers. In your opinion down the road if issues arise do you think Deus Vox will move somewhere else?
Honestly, we've wanted to transfer for quite some time now. We've almost left with the last free transfer, but decided not to make a last minute decision. Pretty bad mistake that was, considering how Laughing Skull was down for the first 2 days of Ulduar. It'll kind of suck moving from our original server- emotional attachment, friends, etc- but if we want to compete we really do need to go somewhere more stable. We'll definitely be taking the next free transfer.

4. What keeps you playing? What was your WoTLK release night like?
For WoTLK launch I was almost tempted to buy a 40$ cd-key online and be left without a physical box set, just to get that extra hour or so of leveling on everyone else. I decided not to... and what a mistake that was. The Gamestop I reserved from had to manually enter every single credit card... so I was behind by about 2 hours by the time I installed. Sleepless days ensued!
Really, the only reason to be playing this game (other than for the guild/friends of course) is for the competitive side. Competitive progression is the only fun type of progression in the world of warcraft.

5. If you could change one thing realistically in-game what would it be?
I know you said realistically, but I'd love to see them completely seperate pvp from pve. Class homogenization is a bland way to fix the problems caused by attempting balance between raiding and arenas.

6. Briefly describe your feelings towards Ulduar and the new PvP changes regarding Arenas.
Ulduar's been a fun instance for the most part, probably too successful. Having everyone on the server compacted into the zone = huge server/ instance lag. The idea behind the varying difficulty levels is a pretty good one, probably the best way for blizzard to keep everyone at least content.
As for pvp, you probably shouldn't ask me, considering i barely pvp. They seem to be toning burst down, so that's a step in the right direction. I'm not convinced season 6 is going to be a good one, but I'm sure it'll at least be better than s5. I haven't seen the new ladder system in action, but it looks like a pretty huge grind, which doesn't seem very appealing.

7. Have you ever had a "noob" moment and openly admit it?
Noob moments are what helps breathe life and fun into this game. Without mess ups, what can we laugh at (Other than Assvros)? With that said, I definitely clicked my keys for... probably a good 2 years too long into my WoW career.

8. What advice do you have for someone who is looking to become a better player or join a better guild?
Effort > time invested > skill. You can play the game as much as you want, but without putting effort into becoming more knowledgeable, you're probably not going to be doing the best you can. And trying to leech info via tells can prove productive, but please find other sources for your information! Apply all of this with a mix of decent social skill and a little bit of luck and I'm sure you can get into a decent guild.

9. Do you have any raiding traditions, recipies or music that are a must when killing dragons/bugs/humaniods/etc on the internet?
Not really traditions or anything, but I can tell what not to do on progression. Don't get baked while attempting new and challenging content.

10. Have you ever had a piece of loot that's eluded you or your guild?
Blackened naruu sliver. Stupid trinket dropped like twice for us in nearly a year's worth of sunwell clearing. Everyone point and laugh at Ohnoes' legendary offhand too.

Out Of Game:
11. What is your favorite TV show? Movie?
Favorites are hard to pick. Right now I'm really enjoying Battlestar Galactica. Overall I'd have to say Arrested Development is my favorite tv show. Favorite recent movie is probably Gran Torino.

12. Favorite sport to watch and/or play and/or athlete?
Don't really watch sports much, but basketball and football are the most entertaining. Favorite athlete would have to be Plaxico for shooting himself in the leg. What a champ.

13. If you could date any person who would you pick and why?
Mila Kunis is probably up there, she's hot as hell and plays video games (including WoW).

14. Do you have any other hobbies or passions?
Playing this game at the competitive level doesn't leave a whole lot of room for much else, so I basically just hang out with friends when i have spare time.

15.$15 of Pizza (What toppings), $15 or a Game Card?
I'll take a pizza any day. My favorite Papa John's pizza is the bacon, bbq, chicken pizza. Slam a piece of that with a piece of cheese... flavor explosion in the mouth.

Draenorm e-mailed me back via during a raid and apologizes if his spelling isn't up to par.
