An entirely unimportant corner of the internet related to WoW, Warlocks, and whatever.
I am not unimportant enough to not have a blog.
About ten years ago, someone told me about these cell phone thingamies that an increasing number of people were carrying around. They seemed like a neat idea. One day a friend asked me when I was going to get one. "I'm not important enough for a cell phone," I answered. Who did I need to talk to on a moment's notice? What was I doing that was so important that it couldn't wait for me to get home and use my land line? Nothing.
But now I have a cell phone and no land line. At some point, cell phones became ubiquitous, a virtual necessity for daily life. I am no more important now than I was ten years ago, so I can only conclude that cell phones have become less important to match me. For all of that, I sometimes wonder how I once lived without mine.
Now Boethius, our ever merciful and talented administrator, has given us this little spot on the internet to write our own blogs. My first thought was, "I'm not important enough for a blog!" But after a bit more thought it occurred to me: so many people are blogging these days, it has become a near-omnipresent social phenomenon. It has become unimportant, and I am just unimportant enough to be a part of it.
The subjects of this blog will be (mostly) WoW-centric, since that is the general purpose of this site. The class commentary will be (mostly) warlock-centric, since that is what I play. And that's about all I can say for now.
A brief introduction, I suppose, since our other bloggers seem to be making them:
I am a member of Elitist Jerks, and my main is a warlock named Gilliam. I am one of our raiding warlocks, but I would not call myself the class leader. We don't really have a class leader, we're more like an autonomous collective - an anarcho-syndicalist commune, if you will. Hey, it works for us. I don't PvP much, I think I have around 3500 lifetime honorable kills. I had a couple of DKs, but they were in good fun so let's just ignore that shall we?
Here's my Armory profile, such as it is: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...anis&n=Gilliam
And, much like Tanilin, I can be kind of a dick. We'll see how this goes.

You can write things much more interesting. You should write about about wearing a whip on your belt, a fedora and having an awful mine cart race.
On WoW: I ended up with around 11 DKs during: I HATE CAMP MOJACHE-fest 2006. |

Intro post - good idea. My first planned blog needs me to make a video, and that won't happen tonight.
I've heard that Dubai is nice, maybe some event there could inspire you to blog more...? ![]() I hope you drop some non-WoW interesting stuff in here occasionally. I know I'd enjoy it. |
