Statement of Purpose

I have been playing WoW since April of 2005. I have experienced raiding and PvP with multiple classes, Mage, Rogue, Hunter, Priest, Warrior and finally Shaman.
The Shaman class is what I fell in love with. I hit 70 two days before Wrath came out and I have been raiding as enhance ever since.
I will not pretend I am the best Shaman in the known universe, however I do possess a very good understanding of the class.
One of the problems I have encountered the more PvE competitive I get is that there is so much information from so many different sources. I figured more people probably have the same problem, login in EJ only to find the thread they left 3 pages now hitting 60, wondering what the hell did they miss.
Fear no more, the primary goal of ESNN is to condense all the relevant information as I come across. This will not just be EJ related information, but anything else I discover from the multiple websites I visit to keep up to date with the Shaman class.

If you can't be arsed to keep up with the EJ shaman threads on a daily basis, I sure as hell can't be arsed to read your blog.

That's not necessarily true. EJ can have multiple threads some that relate others that do not. The average raider needs to get his information quickly and in an efficient manner, sure there are people like me that care about the background mathematical explanation of a conclusion.
For example we can mathematically prove that Enhancements Shamans will see the highest DPS increase by getting spell hit cap, for a person that does not care about the theory behind things, the end result is still the same...he needs to get spell hit cap first. Moreover sometimes there is 20 pages worth of information that is basically a discussion with points and counter points. Instead of having to read the entire thread to see what it was decided you can simply get the answer you need. |

That's what the Theorycrafting Think Tank is for.

I guess you have a lot of free time then? I know that I sure as hell am not going to read through a 60 page thread of which most is pretty much drivel. On the other hand I know how to do math myself, the math that comes into play for WoW purposes is pretty straightforward. But seriously, who actually keeps up on the 10-20 threads based on your class on EJ per day? I suppose if all you do is raid one night a week and you'd rather be reading up on the finer points between whether to gem that one slot spell damage or intellect, a discussion which could easily span 3-4 pages on a EJ. Me, I have much better things to do with my time; props to Nikoa.
