SEIC 3.2.2 r18.2

Updated 13/09/09 at 8:05 PM by Binkenstein
Updated with the changes posted for patch 3.2.2, and the final r18 release with the re-worked EP calculations. Since T8 2pc isn't changing, enable Flame Shock if you have that set bonus, and pick a "fourth" glyph.

New Flame Shock co-efficient: DD 16.063% DoT 75.023% or 12.504% per tick.

Quote:
Shamanism: Your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells gain an additional 3/6/9/12/15% and your Lava Burst gains an additional 4/8/12/16/20% of your bonus damage effects.

SEIC 3.2.0.17

Posted 05/08/09 at 8:30 PM by Binkenstein
With the release of Patch 3.2, there's a new version of SEIC, complete with the many many changes that came in the patch (yes, I'm being sarcastic here).

Changes in this version:
  • T9 set bonuses & Relic
  • Racial bonuses (a little experimental at the moment)
  • Item tab for comparing hit/no hit values of items to see which is better to use. The numbers are the no hit DEP difference divided by the hit rating difference (so a lower number means use the hit item). I'm still working on

3.2 Elemental Changes

Posted 18/06/09 at 8:47 PM by Binkenstein
Updated 04/08/09 at 8:30 PM by Binkenstein (More changes)
Overall, there's few elemental specific changes.

General Changes
  • Flame Shock, Earth Shock, Earth Shock, Wind Shock range has been increased from 20 yards to 25 yards.
  • Elemental Oath only affects non-periodic spell critical strikes.
  • Elemental Focus only affects non periodic critical strikes.
  • Wind Shock: Has been renamed Wind Shear and no longer shares a cooldown with Flame, Frost or Earth Shock.
Shock range is nice, but the fact that Wind ShockShear isn't on the global shock...

A Question of Haste, Part Duex

Posted 14/06/09 at 6:53 PM by Binkenstein
Way way back (Patch 2.4 even) I looked at haste and how useful it was for Elemental rotations at the time. Today I plan on doing the same sort of thing, but for the post 3.1 Elemental (and this may be applicable to other classes as well).

There's a fair bit of concern out there about how there are "bad haste values". I'll admit part of this is my fault, due to early work on modelling how the rotation would scale with haste (I was forgetting that the dot timer would start at the start...

Bink's UI Post

As promised, I'm posting a screenshot of my UI, with a listing of the mods I use and why I use them. I will admit that this is a continual work in progress, as I continue to find out about new addons and tinker with existing ones. All mods I use are from either Curse or WoW Interface, but I will not be putting together mod packs or copies of my settings. One other thing to note before getting into the UI stuff, I'm reproducing the Elemental TTT entry over at my Blogspot blog, mostly so I can break...
