Caveat: I don't pretend to have all of the answers. This blog simply explains some strategies which I've successfully employed as a Guild Master in getting the best out of my players.

The Worst-Player-Ever:

Can you name the worst player in your raid?

Chances are you can, and one thing I noticed over the years running my Guild was that there was always at least one person who was frowned upon by others. Perhaps he wasn't the king of DPS, or if there was...

Why do people play World of Warcraft?

Before we delve into such a complex question (that probably requires a few years of Psychology academics to truly answer), I think there is is a more fundamental question that many people would prefer answered first – namely, why does it matter?

I believe answering the question why people play World of Warcraft will eventually lead to some insight regarding the success of WoW. We have in front of us one of the most popular video games (what other game currently has 10 million active players?)...

Railroad Tycoon, The Board Game

I assume that readers are familiar with the rules of the game. We've played this game a few times, so I think we have the rules debugged and aren't doing anything stupid out of ignorance. BoardGameGeek has more information about the game here.

I hate debt. I don't mind using a little to get started, but unless I'm aiming for a knockout blow I usually won't take out many shares to finance anything. Building early debt hurts you throughout the game since you're losing income on every...

Alpha, Beta, and Roguecraft

Posted 07/30/08 at 1:26 PM by Vulajin
So I finally got around to becoming a Patron on this site, which means I now have a fancy new blog with which I can act like anybody cares about my opinion on rogues. I'm sure all three of the people who will read this will find it highly informative and interesting.

A first blog post usually starts with something like an introduction, so here goes. I'm Vulajin, I've been a rogue for 2.5 years, and I think I've got a pretty good idea how the class works in the context of PvE. Please...
