This is a guide for the stupid questions that we all know lurk deep within us. Answers are drawn largely from my experiences in Beta, so anything wrong is Blizzard's fault, not mine. When possible I have tried to make answers very succinct so that you can copy/paste them into WoW chat or even make a macro to enlighten the idiots in General chat on your server.
This is a more or less spoiler free document.
So you installed World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. Now what? Ask idiotic questions, of course!
Alliance: take the boat from Menethil for Howling Fjord, from SW for Borean Tundra.
Horde: Take the zep from Org (on the right as you leave) for Borean Tundra, from Undercity for Howling Fjord.
Howling Fjord has the easiest instance and will be less crowded. Borean has more and easier quests.

Not really. Most quests in Dragonblight have a minimum level of 71. The Dragonblight instance Azjol-Nerub is doable at 70 with a decently geared party.

Wait until any one of the following events occurs:
1) you start receiving rested XP
2) your XP bar resets
3) people appear in either Acherus, Borean Tundra, or Howling Fjord

This NPC is a gnome standing between two bookshelves upstairs at the inn in Valgarde.
Find a book. They're a random drop off any high-level (77+) mob. BoP too, so you can't just buy it. Enjoy!

There should be a red button on the vehicle UI that looks like a U-turn symbol. Click that.
Try typing /script VehicleExit();
Try logging out and back in.
Try deleting your WTF and Interface folders.
Try uninstalling WoW and throwing your computer out the window.

Utgarde Keep is the easiest instance in Lich King. It has 3 bosses.
For Alliance, it's right next door. For Horde follow the road west from the lift up out of Vengeance Landing.
After exiting, walk forward, then if Horde climb the stairs to your left and follow the road east, Alliance turn right and go.
He's an idiot. When one of them dies, a "ghost" spawns which goes around hitting people. Kill the warlock first.
The Nexus is a level 70-72 instance in WotLK. It has 4 bosses in normal mode and you can do the first 3 in any order.
It's in Coldarra. Take the FP from Amber Ledge (dragon), then ride west. The Nexus is the bottom portal.
Ride east until you hit the Transitus Shield (big purple globe), then take the FP. If you don't have the FP, hearth. Razz on the WoW Forums also reports that there is an NPC that can teleport you to Amber Ledge from Transitus Shield. I haven't confirmed this
Pick any direction, then travel in a circle around the instance clearing bosses. Most groups on Beta went right to left.
Implemented in a future patch.
Dalaran is the flying capital of the Kirin Tor mageocracy and the main home base in Northrend for player characters.
Dalaran is in the western part of Crystalsong Forest, the zone immediately north of Dragonblight.
At level 74, questgivers at all major Northrend faction towns will send you there for free.
After that, you quickly get a quest that lets you access Dalaran from the ground in Crystalsong Forest, which you will absolutely never do because Crystalsong Forest is basically empty and you'll probably set your hearth in Dalaran.
Only if you get portaled or summoned there, which means you can't go at release day with your level 1 naked elf "mules."
Teleport:Dalaran can be learned at 71 from a quest at your major DBlight faction town (Agmar's/Star's Rest).
First, ASK A GUARD. Guards are very helpful in Dalaran, they have info about almost everything you might want to find.
There is no AH.
The question you need to ask is about "cloth/leather/mail/plate armor vendors." Leather/mail, for instance, is near the fountain in the southeast part of the city.
Badge vendor for each faction in their "base" (Sun.Sanctum, S.Enclave). Assorted items also around the middle of the city.
They're accessible from the "faction bases" (Sunreaver Sanctum, Silver Enclave).
On the west side of town.

Two ways. You can either go through one of the stairs around the perimeter, or jump into the well in the NW part of town.
Yes. It's in the Violet Citadel on the west side of town, second floor.
You need a key and level 75. Go to the Violet Citadel on the SW side of town and Rhonin will send you to The Violet Hold.

They drank the [Underbelly Elixir], which spawns in various places around the Underbelly.

Carefully.
The fastest way is to speed and chain clear dungeons, mostly Utgarde Keep, with a dedicated 5-man group, all kitted out in Sunwell gear.

Take the flight path from Amber Ledge (the dragon). You don't need any quests.
They spawn on a timer. The mob for the Spire of Blood is upstairs.
You may need to kill the other mobs in the room.
Engineers can make them from Cobalt Bars and Crystallized Earth: [Overcharged Capacitor]
Take the "Old Lift" at the SW part of the mainland zone. After that pick up the goblin FP.
McGoyver at the dock in Valgarde will let you reuse his rocket to get back to the Explorers League Outpost.
Use your harpoon gun to aim for the rooftops of the buildings.
Take the turtle boat from Kamagua (HF), Moa'ki Harbor (DB), or Unu'pe(Borean).
Easiest way is to pick up the Venomspite/Wintergarde FPs on one side of DB, and the Agmar's/Star's Rest FPs on the other.
Otherwise, neutral FP Ebon Watch in Zuldrak connects to Wyrmrest in DB, to Moa'ki in DB, to Unu'pe in Borean.
Check that you're talking to the actual flight master and not a questgiver. It's NOT Gryphon Commander Urik, but Rodney Wells.
You may need to complete a quest in town.
Angrathar, the Wrath Gate is WoW's first in-game cutscene and comes at the end of a long Dragonblight quest series.

The more Dragonblight quests you do, the better your chances of hitting upon the right one to unlock the chain!
There's a ramp up in the center, in front of Kilix the Unraveler.

Actually, there are three Rings of Blood; one is in Zul'drak, one is in Grizzly Hills, and one is in Icecrown.
For the Amphitheater of Anguish, you need to be 75. It's in the middle of the zone. No prerequisite.
For the Conquest Pit (Grizzly Hills), you must be Horde and have completed all the quests turned in to Conqueror Raenna at Conquest Hold.
For Valhalas (Icecrown), you need to be 77. Very long prereq starting with The Sum is Greater than the Parts - Quest - World of Warcraft
Sons of Hodir- one of the only ways to get shoulder enchants in WotLK. Start with They Took Our Men! - Quest - World of Warcraft (req 77) at K3 in Storm Peaks. Get to Friendly with the "tabard factions" (Arg. Crusade, Wyrm. Accord, Kirin Tor, Ebon Blade) as well.
Aside from 1-time quests, the walrus people have 3 dailies: stealing wolf pups in DBlight, seal husbandry in HF, and collecting crates at Kaskala in Borean.
You can switch allegiances between the Sholazar Basin local factions (Frenzyhearts and Oracles), gaining quests from the other faction.
Probably not. Try jumping, they're pretty high up.
Must be lvl 77. Buy Cold Weather Flying at the landing pad in Dalaran (Krasus's Landing @ NE part of town). 1000g
No, it's not.
Nope. Mix up your abilities and use the knockback on every cooldown.
They're on flying battleships. You can see their location on the world map if they're not too far away.
79, 30 NE of Sindragosa's Fall. Look for a black patch on the ground (if you're high up you won't see the fire).

You need to clear two platforms and click the orbs on them to get Prince Taldaram to "spawn."
There's a boss there on Heroic mode.
It's very close to Light's Breach, the Argent Dawn town in Zul'drak.

Gun'drak has two entrances, through the two big tombs on either side of the ice at the NE corner of the zone.
Gun'drak is nonlinear for the first 3 bosses. Clear around the perimeter, then go to the center for the last boss.
Halls of Stone is on the left side of the Ulduar complex at the extreme north of Storm Peaks. Easiest way is to fly.
Halls of Stone is nonlinear for the first 3 bosses. To fight Sjonnir the Ironshaper you need to beat the escort event.
Not really, no.
Halls of Lightning is on the right side of the Ulduar complex in north Storm Peaks. Easiest way is to fly.
It's the portal immediately above the Nexus portal.
A whistle will appear in your inventory; right click it to summon your drake. Make sure your inventory isn't full.
Use your drake's "GPS" ability.
Just drop yourself into the void. It's safe, I promise.
Utgarde Pinnacle is directly above Utgarde Keep. Take the stairs all the way up, or approach from a level plane.
To summon Gotrok Palehoof the magnataur, 2 people have to right click the pedestal with an orb in his room.
The CoT: Strat entrance is on the left from Black Morass. You can get to CoT through a portal in Dalaran.
As of October 15th, there wasn't.
No. Talk to Chromie to get teleported to the city.
OK, levelling over. What now?
There are no attunements for any heroics or raids at 80 except Malygos (Eye of Eternity).
Sapphiron in Naxx drops one item every time you kill him which summons Malygos. Only one person in the raid needs it. 10-man Sapph drops the key for 10-man Malygos and 25-man Sapph drops it for 25-man Malygos.
4 factions that give you tabards at Friendly which you use to gain rep with them in level 80 instances.
Argent Crusade, Kirin Tor, Wyrmrest Accord, and Ebon Blade.
From that faction's quartermaster(s).
Generic Horde/Alliance Northrend rep.
Sure can. All raids listed are 10-man. 25-man raids give Badges of Valor instead of Badges of Heroism.

Eck the Ferocious can be found by going through the crawlspace in the room that opens after you defeat Slad'ran.
The Commander can be found in the tunnel where all the frozen NPCs are.
Amanitar can be found in the mushroom forest.
The Infinite Corruptor in Stratholme, who also drops a mount, can be fought if you cleared the first 3 bosses in 25 mins.

No. The more drakes you leave alive, the greater the reward for killing Sartharion is, but the harder the fight.

10-man:
No matter what, the zone rewards 4 badges, a Sack of Spoils (5 badges to the player who wins it), a 22-slot bag, a T7.10 glove token, and an ilvl 200 item from Sartharion's loot table.
Killing Sartharion with one drake alive at the time he is pulled rewards an additional ilvl 200 loot item and an additional achievement (Twilight Assist).
Killing Sartharion with two drakes alive at the time he is pulled rewards an additional ilvl 213 loot item and an additional achievement (Twilight Duo) in addition to the above.
Killing Sartharion with three drakes alive at the time that he is pulled rewards one Black Drake mount, an additional achievement (The Twilight Zone) and the title "of the Nightfall," in addition to the above.
25-man is similar but the ilvl of the items are 13 higher, the achievements are different, the title for 3 drakes is "Twilight Vanquisher," and the mount is a Twilight Drake instead of a Black Drake.

I'm glad you asked. The drakes for the daily quest "Aces High!" above Coldarra have the same abilities.
Archavon is a really easy raid boss that you can fight for PVP epics after your faction captures Wintergrasp.
The portal to the Vault of Archavon is in Wintergrasp Fortress.
Listing where gear drops is above my pay grade. Use WoWHead or mmo-champion.com for reference.
Gloves are off Sartharion, shoulders from Loatheb, chest from 4HM, legs from Thaddius, head from Kel'thuzad.
Nope. That was then, this is now.
Obtained through Wintegrasp quests and from instance bosses when your faction controls Wintergrasp.
You can turn them in at Wintegrasp Fortress for BoA stuff, mounts, PVP items, etc.

Being a death knight is hard. There are all sorts of buttons.
Right click the eyeball-like globes on pedestals on either side of the Lich King.
Try duelling the NPC deathknight adepts. They're pushovers.
There should be a red button on the vehicle UI that looks like a U-turn symbol. Click that.

Press 1 when you are at the questgiver.
Make sure you completed absolutely all the quests you already have. Try returning to Ebon Hold and checking there.
It's not bugged. If you're not dual wielding the torturing pokers, start doing that. Otherwise, just wait patiently.
To complete, you have to talk to the DK NPC, then fight off NPC waves including a boss. No credit if you skipped anything.
Eat the puny Scarlet Crusade NPCs.
Right click the portrait of the dragon in the upper-right. There should be an option to dismount.
Talk to any innkeeper after leaving the starting area.
Outland.
Vontre of Magegraf fame submits this strategy: "Put two diseases on everything (Plague Strike and Icy Touch). Hit Blood Strike a lot. Burn the rest of your runes on whatever. Hit Death Coil when the button is shiny."

Killing Sartharion with one drake alive at the time he is pulled rewards an additional ilvl 200 loot item and an additional achievement (Twilight Assist).
Killing Sartharion with two drakes alive at the time he is pulled rewards an additional ilvl 213 loot item and an additional achievement (Twilight Duo) in addition to the above.
Killing Sartharion with three drakes alive at the time that he is pulled rewards one Black Drake mount, an additional achievement (The Twilight Zone) and the title "of the Nightfall," in addition to the above.
25-man is similar but the ilvl of the items are 13 higher, the achievements are different, the title for 3 drakes is "Twilight Vanquisher," and the mount is a Twilight Drake instead of a Black Drake.
