End game content in World of Warcraft has never been more accessible. The vast amount of raiding content that is a major part of this expansive game is now available to you, your mom, and your retarded cousin. It is common practice to see that the majority of the player base is blind, deaf, mute, handicapped, brain dead, some combination or all of the above. Considerable mental effort is exerted during the process of raiding, it would be wise to plan ahead and assume that the majority of the people(a...

Disclaimer: I'm a die-hard holy priest. I've been healing in WoW on the same toon from MC to three drake Sartharion. What I love most about WoW is the math behind the mechanics of healing. As such, most of my posts will be about the math behind the holy priest and if you're not a holy priest or into the math you probably won't enjoy those posts. I have currently settled into a pair of specs for raiding that I've found to be very beneficial for my raid group. They are Metamorphosis/Ruin and Felguard/Emberstorm.

They have two very different roles to play, and I'll get to the Metamorph build another time because it will really be better than it is today when 3.1 drops and the changes to Improved Shadow Bolt go live.

Back to Felguard/Emberstorm however, because it really shines compared to other specs in terms...

On casual guilds trying to raid

Posted 02/13/09 at 1:10 PM by s4dfish
So, my guild is what is best referred to as a casual, social guild. It's the same guild I've been in since I started WoW and I have several friends in the guild. In other words, I'm not going anywhere. I do, however, want to raid. Back in the middle of TBC I decided to start pushing my guild into some raiding and we wound up halfway effective.

What I've tried to do is sort out who in my guild is willing to do their homework to support raiding and who isn't. In a guild like mine...
