My Keybindings: Mage Edition
Again, in the format
No modifier held

With Shift held

With Ctrl held

I use to play with a 2 bar setup for a long time (Courtesy of every mage's early hero Otherguy, author of Sorrow Hill PvP movie(s?)). It was a sad day in my life to play on another account on Illidan and kill him in world PvP (HI MELVIA I HAD AN ILLIDAN ACCOUNT!).
As we can see mage key bindings are slightly simpler when compared to those of a druid. With each new patch I would get new spells but less key bindings in total : No more spirit staff on innervate, no more downranking, no more detect magic, etc. Oh, and I forgot my super - secret 'Get Frostbite Proc" key binding. It's 'B'.
Also, in case some of you want to spec arcane here are my friend's arcane keybindings:

So you don't use the mouse for abilities at all?

Clicking or bound to mouse buttons? I think that's an important distinction to make. Clicking is a bad thing to do. Mouse bindings are full of epic win.
True story. |

Malan was certainly talking about binding spells to extra buttons on the mouse. I've never done that because my background in computer games is starcraft, where it is both impossible and against the spirit of the game as most people see it. Also, likely because I've never fallen in the habit of doing it and prefer to use the keyboard. I feel for me, it's faster to press shift+i with one hand then hit a button on the mouse with another hand.
But this does not mean that it can't work, as long as you're comfortable doing it I see no reason why it's not a great way of accessing an ability fast. |

Interesting. So more of a personal preference then something you're actually recommending, just wanted to make sure.
