"Patience Overcome Everything"

The guild was created late in Ulduar patch, as a strict 10 man raiding guild, mainly cause we were only Danish players at that point. The few of the main core members, that are playing in PoV, is former Highend raiders, who now turned casual. This meaning, that PoV is a casual raiding guild, that consist of people, who really know their class, and always go ahead theory crafting. In early ToC, we started making the guild work as 25 man meaning that we still are seeking members.

In PoV you will find people that also play Arena, and the ventrilo is used, as a place you go, when you are on line, meaning that you will always find people on ventrilo no matter what time of day you log in. You will find our community friendly, casual but also as hard working on the progress when needed. Most players/members is Danish and Swedish.

Raiding hours:

Wednesday, Sunday and Monday from 19:00-22:30 MST
Beside we have 10 man going either spontaneous or signed runs

PoV Progress so far:

ToC 10/25 - all clearet
ToGC 10 - All clearet on different raids, with Insanity and Mad Skill runs
ToGC 25 - 3/5 Working on Twins
Ulduar 10 - All hardmodes incl. Alcalon, except for One Light
Ulduar 25 - Clearet, and currently work on few HM's

About You:
You have a high seeking in being the best at your thing, but at a casual level. Meaning that you do seek theory crafting, and reading up on your class, dont expect us to tell you. You are mature over 18, and well functionally at a social/casual level, meaning you really want to know the new people you are playing with, not only on raids. You can take constructive criticism, and learn from mistakes, as well as you can give constructive criticism. You read up on the encounters we are heading for, watching videos and further if needed.

Remember that even though we aint high end raiding guild seeking for server first, world first etc, your apply does show the first impression, and we are looking more into what kind of person you are than what you have accomplished in the game, since we all are here for the fun of casual raiding, and we spent quite a lot of time talking together on ventrilo.

We recently completed ToGC 10-person heroic with 'A Tribute to Skill (10)', and are preparing the guild for 3.3 content.

Guild History
Nocturnal was officially formed in March 2008 on the Kul Tiras EU server as a joint venture between skilled players who shared a desire to have a late-night raiding guild that better fit the lifestyle of those with jobs and families whilst maintaining good raid performance and progress. At its peak Nocturnal had more than 70 members and 35 active raiders, and at one point it was ranked 10th on the EU Kul Tiras server. Our ranks thinned over the summer of 2009, as did many guilds’ on Kul Tiras, so in October 2009 the guild moved to the EU Silvermoon server in order to take advantage of better population rates and to prepare for future content releases. We are now actively recruiting additional members for our 10 and 25-person raid teams.

Who We Are
Nocturnal is an established late-night raiding guild of skilled players who share a desire to progress through end-game content. We are a mature guild for mature players, with a minimum age requirement of 18. Most of our members are working adult gamers with professional and family commitments, so we endeavor to use our game time as effectively and efficiently as possible. Our members have a high-degree of mutual respect for one another, and we maintain a fun, relaxed environment that is conducive to team building and high-end raiding. While Nocturnal has a leadership structure that is built around several long-term members, every guild member is considered and treated as an equal. All guild decisions are made by council vote, and new members have the same voice and input as the veterans do. Nocturnal is a 100% team enterprise.

Who We Are Not
We are not a training guild, nor are we a PvP guild. We are not here to teach class mechanics, nor are we here to guide players through older game content. We are a raiding guild oriented towards high-end PvE progression through current end-game content.

Wednesday: 8:30pm - 12:00pm GMT
Thursday: 8:30pm - 12:00pm GMT
Sunday: 8:30pm - 12:00pm GMT

- Please note these times are GMT, raid times are 9:30pm - 1:00am server time
- A 5th raid night may be added once the guild is more established on Silvermoon.

Guild Application Process
Please submit an online application form in the guild recruitment forum at Nocturnal - Recruitment - Guild Forum. Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be 18 years or older with a desire to join a focused raiding community that fosters teamwork and healthy competition.

Be ready to participate in 10 and 25-person PvE raid progression and hard modes with a character that has the appropriate gear levels, talents, enchants, gems, and glyphs.

Have an intricate knowledge of the class you play, and know how to maximize your individual performance while contributing to the group effort.

Be willing to put in the time and work necessary to unlock new content.

Be mature and dependable while being relaxed and easy-going. We are a serious group that likes to have fun.

Be willing to learn from mistakes and accept constructive criticism.

Recognize that we raid as a team, and that all Nocturnal guild members will be treated equally and with mutual respect.

Be capable of following the raid leader’s instructions and be flexible and open-minded when assigned specialized roles during specific encounters.

Become familiar with Nocturnal guild rules and agree to abide by them.

Applications will be reviewed by appropriate class leaders and guild officers. Successful applicants will receive an invitation to join Nocturnal for a no-strings-attached trial period that will last for two weeks.

It is important to note that the primary function of the selection process is to maintain our guild’s standards. If you are not accepted it does not mean that you are a bad player or that you are not a fun person to raid with. Likewise, being accepted into Nocturnal does not mean that you are an elite player either. Devotion is a guild devoted to raiding, simple as that. There are raids every day, but only 4 days are mandatory out of 5 main raid nights. Devotion has raided since vanilla. We are a long-lasting guild with great progression over the years.

Raid Times

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 19:15 to 23:30.
4 nights are mandatory out of these but 5 are a bonus. At weekends we do fun runs/gear alts/take time off.

What we are looking for

A Disc priest with proper knowledge of the class and understanding of how their haste and mitigation buffs work. You will also know how to AOE heal effectively under this spec, not just Holy.

A Warlock who is comfortable in any spec, especially Demonology and Affliction in addition to Destro.

A Holy Paladin - someone who really is smart. Who can get burst as well as sustained healing from the class.

A Resto Druid who is up-to-date in everything resto and understands both burst and sustained healing of the entire raid.

A killer Mage - the envy of recount, nuff said.

A class not listed here, but exceptional enough for us to consider. You believe that you bring enough to the raid that we may replace someone else with you full time.

Skills you must possess

You have to be experienced with macros, focus targets.

You're confident, really confident with your class.

You are a really great mover. You are never caught out in fire, ever, and always understand smart positioning, you never hug (unless it is required) and have the disclipline to restore your old position or move to a superior position on the fly. You do not sacrifice healing or DPS while moving.

You understand the strategy so well, that you are perfectly capable of being a raid leader in your own right if it is required of you.

It is far more important that you are an incredibly smart player than being top of the meters. The ability to survive long after others are dead is a real plus.
