Iron Manable Content in TBC

The idea for this thread comes from one posted before TBC about the new talent changes, so I take no credit of originality on this idea. Iron mannable content in 2.0

I'm interested to see what content people have iron manned in TBC. Anyone 5 manned MC? 2-3 man Onyxia? 20 man Razuvious? Tanked Anub'Rehkan in the Locust Swarm?

Let's hear about it!

DPS War and Paladin duo'd Azuregos, took about an hour. Not very exciting and was probably done in pre-TBC.

I soloed a Naga Defender the other day. Shock and awe from the rogue who was watching.

I've soloed all of the Dire Maul wings, Scholo, BRD, LBRS so far. All of those were certainly done by 60 hunters already. However, it was supremely fun not having to spend multiple hours avoiding trash or doing the proper trash pulls. For the record I'm in dungeon blues and a few epics right now so nothing special.

Also we took 5 people, 3 hunters, priest, druid into MC and downed the first two giants. We were quite surprised because we had two pets on the left giant while we burned down the right giant. When we switched the two pets had the left giant down to 65% hp.

I 3 manned the 1st 2 giants with a paladin (healing) and a hunter. Hunter pet tanked one, I tanked one, and the hunter pet died just before the 1st giant leaving me tanking 2 for about 5 seconds. After that pull we gave up because we didn't think we stood a chance against the firelord with spawns.

Soloed the large undead packs at the beginning of stratholme, and a lot of the trash on undead side finishing it off with the magistrate to get the idol of brutality. I also soloed the packs of undead ghosts in DM West up to the Magister guy, killed him and then some rare spawn I saw up at the end of that hall. I'm needed some essence thing for part of the tier 0.5 quest line.

We took a group of 5 into MC in an joking effort to farm elemental fires, but more because we were bored. We cleared the giants, then jumped into the lava over towards Gehennas. We skipped firelords, as we just didn't have the dps to take down the spawns quick enough. We downed a couple hounds, destroyer/giant pulls, and pulled Gehennas.

Our composition was 2 warriors, a priest, and 2 mages. We tried just offtanking the adds, and that would have probably worked well enough, but Gehennas' shadow bolt volley was a bit too much healing required for the priest. Gehennas hit me with a crushing blow for 300 interestingly enough. I still don't understand what exactly a crushing blow is supposed to do damage-wise. Perhaps if we'd used some consumables, it would have been doable, but we only tried once.

a while ago, during beta, someone made the call that "TBC will be all about 5-manning Bloodlord Mandokir every 3 days". Certainly his enchants are still pretty nice.

Has anyone tried this?

Yep. Nothing much to write home about, I'm afraid.

I'm not sure I follow. Do you mean he is too hard for a 5-man? Or that he is very easy, but just not worth the effort for the enchant?

Too easy I reckon. I've seen him be 2manned by priest and feral druid I think it was. Screenshot of it anyway. It's barely worth it though, atleast for a warrior, unless you wanna get some kind of block gear going, you're definately not gonna put it on the pants, and on the headgear the almost 1% dodge from CoT enchant is nicer anyway.

Haven't done any iron content in TBC unfortunately, I'm really interested in it though. The 'best' I've done so far is 2man Strat undead with a rogue. I had no idea dps had gone up that much until he killed stuff faster than an entire group would have done.

I think the only noticeable thing i soloed was Teremus the Devourer as a protection paladin, took me about 15 mins but it was very easy.

Some serious theorycrafters might be interested to know that considering him as being boss level, my avoidance rate (parry, miss, dodge, block) seem to be unusually high against him, as if he was not under the mechanics of a level 73 mob but a lower level one.

I wasn't in the raid but I heard reports that some members of my guild did a 4man Onyxia. I can't confirm it however.

I went back and soloed the first 2 bosses of ramparts, the demon guy is extremely easy. I got the dragon down to a little under 50%, might be able to solo him with some good FR gear. I have not tried Blood Furnace yet, but the first boss of Slave Pens was a real pain. He has too much hp and if the healing totem is down for even a bit he heals back too much to solo.

A friend & I, both shadow priests, easily cleared out all of Blood Furnance. I figure Ramparts would be just as easy. Going to try to do Slave Pens and Underbog next, mobs start hitting a bit harder but dual VE is quite effective, especially if we ping-pong aggro on bosses if needed. Most trash packs are cake, the Broggok event was just rotating fears and burning the orcs down one by one.

Now that is impressive.

My best is 3 manning steam vaults (2 druids, 1 rogue) I'd say that every boss with a "room" and no (or at least avoidable) AoE can be killed by this trio.

And of course duo Talon King (2 druids)

The firelord, couldn't dps his spawns fast enough. The first two giants were easy, as others have stated, but the firelord was impassable. We, too, jumped down above the lava and were heading to Gehennes when our real raid was about to start so we pulled two giant packs to see if it was managable and it was not.

Sorry for the late reply. He's easy, and I prefer the ZG enchant to the CoT one.

I soloed all of BRD except the seven dwarves because you need a rogue to pickpocket the key. Was pretty hilarious actually. Lyceum is cake because you can technically agro range everything, but it's a lot more fun to pull as much as you possibly can and see a hundred mobs die in three consecration ticks.

We 8 manned up to Garr, doing Lucifron without a decurser was fun. Got a decurser in for Gehennas though :>
