Since consumables are even more important since TBC, i thought it would be a good idea to share a few farming spots i've got. (If you think this is a way to introduce my new website, you are totally right, but i'll try to keep enough informations on the post to not make it useless. ^^)
Most of the informations here are probably known by a bunch of people here but i thought it would be a good idea to build a database on how and where to farm things.

Consumables list on my website

Ancient Lichen
List of potions requiring one
Farmed in : (Solo) First part of slave pens, you can freely travel around the first zone of the instance (before you enter the building) without aggroing anything See my website for video and informations
You can also probably farm them in all the other coilfang instances as a rogue/druid.
And of course in all coilfang/auchindoun instance if you've got a group.

Mana Thistles
List of potions requiring one
Farmed in : North-West of Shattrath (Terokkar), Skettis (Terokkar), Twilight Ridge (Nagrand), Forge Camp: Wrath and Terror (Blade's Edge), Felstorm Point (Blade's edge), Socrethar's Seat (Netherstorm), Netherwing Ledge (Shadowmoon Valley)

Flame Caps
Don't know if it's me, but it seems they spawn more often in the Dead Mire, you can also get spawns of flame caps in the slave pens (see above)

Gromsblood / Dreamfoil

Still needed for flasks of titans (cheaper HP boost than fortification) / supreme power.
Farmed in : Dire Maul east, use the "hidden" entrance, west of the horde village. Then go all the way through the instance and pick spawns of gromsblood on the way, once you're in the "garden" you'll have 3 or 4 herb spawns. if you're a rogue/druid/mage it could be faster to get out by using the other entrance instead of going all the way back to the one you used at the beginning.

Primal Fire, Earth, Water, Air
All farmed on the Elemental Plateau, but it seems it sucks now.
You can farm fire is farmed in Blade's Edge Mountains, north of Toshley's Station. Earth south of Oshu'gun in Nagrand, Water south of Skettis in Terokkar, and air in Shadowmoon, north of the Altar of Sha'tar and in Netherwing pass (but they're a pain in the ass to farm.)

If something isn't listed here, it's probably because you can't farm it more efficiently than the traditional way of roaming through the whole zone with an bag full of luck. Or it'could be because i forgot it :/

Thanks for the feedback on the website, still have a few bugs tho (and it seems people need to refresh with IE to actually see the homepage, which sucks like a lot.)

Mana Thistle can also be harvested at Socrethar's Seat in Netherstorm.

If you have fast flying mount hell even fast ground mount will do. Fishing will yield better motes of water per hour. You need 325+100 lure for fishing it.

Add Netherwing Ridge in SE Shadowmoon to the list as well.

Ancient Lichen is also available in every Auchindoun instance, in addition to the Coilfang ones. Also available from "skinning" Zangarmarsh bog beasts, but probably not an efficient way to go about collecting.

I have a short circuit I run from the Aldor Tier in Shattrath. Go NW over the barrier mountains where you find the mana thistle, then north to the Sporeggar cave in Southern Zangarmarsh. This 5 min loop has 30+ ore spawn points, especially in the cave. Mining generates more mote of earth/hour than just about anything. You need primal earths for the 2500 armor pots. You can also make the sharpening stones though I still prefer the elemental stones.

If you're in the dead mire as an herbalist, might as well kill everything. You get a modest return of mote of life/herbs from the bog elementals as well as a number of herb spawn points up there - though nothing in the upper tier quality.

On my server, the Blade's Edge fire elemental camp is picked clean. Farming in Shadowmoon Valley is more productive in the center lava lake area.

Incorrect. You need Primal Earth. I feel like that's what you meant, but it's worth pointing out.

Added the dire maul gromsblood/dreamfoil farming video, working on a clean version of the website which shouldn't bug as much as the current one for Internet Explorer users. (at least i hope)
