Do any hydross tanks possibly have a list of the gear/enchants they use when doing so? I would greatly appreciate it, starting on him soon.

Pretty trivial these days; just get all the epic gear+neck+ring crafted, enchant for resistances till you hit cap, fill gaps in sta/def/resil with trinkets/ring/back.

Best method is to just get the gear crafted and then see what your tank already has and start working on enchants from that.

Sounds good, just completed the farming effort for 2 tanks in 2 days time, so things are looking good so far.

ONe side question--after gaining 490 def and 295 unbuffed resist, what should my HP be at. I'm really worried that my HP is low (I'm at just over 12k unbuffed). I'm the nature tank and we do significantly go into the Nature Phase, on occasion I have been 1-shot (Didn't have a lock so I was at ~16.5k).

I think I'm at 13.3 or 13.5k unbuffed (I'm nature, and tauren as well). Our frost tank is in the same ballpark. How "significantly far" do you go into the nature phase? There's no reason to cheese him into 250% anymore, and the debuffs go up to 500% now.

We switch right as the debuff goes into %250. On our few attempts, I don't think I've ever come close to getting one shot. He actually doesn't hit that hard with the proper resist. I might get an unlucky resist and get hit hard, but not one shot while fully raid buffed.

Yeah we start the transition after 250% marks, so I spend a good 10-20 seconds with 250% damage.

I was afraid of that. I can't convince my Guild to either a) Go after Netherspite on a regular basis cause Kara is on farm and he requires actual effort *gasp* to get a second set of shoulders (T4 would cost 75 dkp and people would frown since I Already have a pair) b)Run any heroics (besides Mech).

Pre-SSC loot, my setup was similar to this and provided crit immune and max resist value:

HEAD: Wildgaurd (+20 NR Enchant)
NECK: Pendant of Withering
SHOULDER: T4 (2 x 12 stam)
BACK: Green of Nature Protection (+17 NR + 15 NR Enchant)
CHEST: Wildguard (+150 HP)
BRACER: Green Fortress (+12 defense enchant)
GLOVES: Bold Gaunts or Iron Guants of the Maiden will work (+8 NR patch and 2 x 12 stam gems)
BELT: Crimson Girdle off Moroes (2 x +12 stam gems)
LEGS: Wildguard w/ Clefthoof patch
BOOTS: Battlescar Boots (2 x 12 stam)
RING1: KZ Rep Ring
RING2: The Natural Ward
TRINK1: Regale Protectrate (for the defense rating, also the use was nice)
TRINK2: Adamantite Figurine (for the defense rating)
WEAPON: King's Defender
OH: Shatar Rep Sheild (with stam gems)
RANGED: Green of the Champion (for +defense)

As you get some pieces from SSC, you can augment a little more stam in slots, as you gain defense elsewhere. After getting T5 shoulders, and the Trinket from Hydross, I re-enchanted my bracers with stam. When I gained a bit more defense, I swapped in more HP in my ranged slot. Please keep in mind that this was before the item buffs came out.

Here is what I used to cheese him at 250%.

The flasks are now 500, not 1500. And a lot of the stamina values on the gear have changed. However this list should still be an excellent guide to maxing out crit immunity, resist, and stamina. Also note a few of the buffs at the bottom no longer stack.

You may not be able to cheese him anymore, but if you want to mitigate the most damage possible on your side of the battle, here you go.

Any time you take him into 250, you run that risk. With the reduction in HP on him and the adds, I don't really see a reason to do that. If you use an AE strat, you can absolutely melt him.

You can almost tank the 500% version of Hydross, the problem becomes his secondary abilities. You wouldn't want to transition at 250% for frost for instance. That DoT is brutal there.
