Question Concerning Raid Bosses

Do raid bosses have Strength, Agility, Stamina (etc) scores the same way player characters do or are they comprised of strictly Hit Points, Critical Strike %, Attack Power, and Armor?

I'm leaning towards the latter, but cannot find a definitive answer. I believe this was why the Scorpid Sting ability was changed from it's previous incarnation, yes?

I can't answer the question, but it would explain why the pally skill Vindication (-15% str/agi) doesn't work on bosses.

On the other hand, I can't imagine why trash-type mobs would have stats (which they clearly must for the mentioned skills to work), and bosses not have them.

Do you have any further evidence to support your suggestion?

Unfortunately I can only speculate that this is the case. I have been unable to find any hard evidence for either case, hence I am hoping to find clarification here.

The way I understand it, is that all npcs have pretty basic stats, but they scale much differently then players. 1 stam = 10 hp for a player, but it may = 100 hp for a certain NPC (numbers just a guess). That's why things like Demoralizing Shout have such a massive effect on the damage of npcs.

Hey Kyne!~ PPP Still around? This is Groglox :P Send me a PM sometime.

On topic, I am certain they do have stats since I remember Vindication used to work on bosses and have a noticable effect (but was quickly fixed). If they don't have traditional stats, I am sure that they have AP.

In a slightly related but totally useless note I am also pretty sure that they have equipment too. Or at least some do. I remember way back near release someone was asking about where they could get gear that some NPC had, and the blue response alluded to the fact that NPCs have specific gear (possibly statless). I would guess this only applies to weapon weilding NPCs or player race npcs (with some exceptions: goblins / naga).

I thought during the discussion of demoralizing shout, curse of weakness, thunderclap, et cetera, for lowering mob outgoing damage that it was researched to be the case that boss mobs have a multiplier against which these things go (so demoralizing shout, despite being a fairly low AP number, can result in drastic decreases in swings that don't make sense).

Of course, I was very wrong on the remembering what I'd read on Magtheridon, so here's for batting 0.000!
