I completely forgot about my hunter - ZG trinket that is still irreplacable for PVP. Wiping cooldowns on all instant attacks is damn nice.

Last night was pessimistic skydive in a foolish narcotic shell

I personally keep some extremely low rank spells around specifically for that purpose; of course, it's taking a slight risk since you're starting a global cooldown. It seems to be practically made to be used in combination with Flash of Light however, so that probably helps.

As someone else said it's the old enchants and patterns that were only obtainable through lots of level 60 raiding that are worrisome.

For example, as far as I have seen, there are only two Cenarion Circle revered tailors on my server, or at least only two who sell a Satchel of Cenarius on the AH occasionally. (I'm guessing there are more, but I haven't seen any evidence of them). It's nice for my finances that I'm one of them, but no one in their right minds is ever going to get that much CC rep ever again... so what if one or both of us stops playing/drops tailoring/etc? And why isn't there a 28 slot herb bag?

Sort of a silly example, since 28 slot herb bags aren't all that critical, but it's something I was wondering about recently too.
Yeah obviously. Even if my server is not months behind in end game, I think there are no more than 4 or 5 horde guilds that killed c'thun which means there are maybe 2-3 enchanters with aq rare recipes like 2% threat gloves or subtetly, these enchants will probably disappear with guys stopping wow or respeccing their tradeskills...
Weird thing is that blizzard seems to be aware of this problem since they added old world flasks recipes as rep rewards, why not add all old rep or raid recipes as rep rewards, i don't know :/
Anyways, recipes as rare drops suck. There are no enchanters with soulfrost on my server/faction and there probably won't be one before ages because guilds that can kill terestrian stopped or will stop very soon doing karazhan raids in favor of ssc/tk and other guilds just can't kill him (even if they can kill the retuned nightbane...).

As has been brought up in the other thread, the 3 piece Ten Storms bonus might not be irreplaceable but it definitely lives a lot longer than it ought to.

I would guess they actually did want to create new enchants/pots/etc to replace all the old world ones, but just ran out of time. We'll see what happens with the profs and consumables revamp in 2.1.0. The 25 man raid drops are also going to get looked at, so hopefully stuff starts getting upgraded to fix these itemization holes. I think all of this falls into the unfortunate category of "stuff that couldn't be done in time".

The only downside is that you really shouldn't shard anything from 25 mans right now, as you never know what an item will turn into.

Still using mine also. Great trinket. I'm beginning to wonder what block rating really does for me through, considering that in serious fights I'm always keeping shield block active.

Anyhow, a buddy of mine is thinking about switching to prot (he's a pally). I'm looking at this trinket and thinking it's probably even better for paladins now (since they need to fill up their combat table). It's too bad Flamegore is so far in the dungeon.... because if I could 3 or 5-man him for this trinket I would.

As a tank I would also like to promote my over use of both Styleens and LGG, i mean they are only 2 tiers ago in terms of instance loot....

The irreplacables that my guild is frustrated with is +dodge and +threat enchants, both of which come out of AQ40, and let's be honest...I just don't see us going back there any time soon, let alone farming it to get a couple of enchants, because we're on an unlucky server that has nobody that can do these.

Other enchants have gone above and beyond...so why can't we be given a better (or similar) dodge, subtlety, threat set of enchants out of TBC?

Im in the same boat, as a non jewelcrafter I have let to replace my warmth of forgiveness or Rejuvinating gem, the lower city prayerbook is tempting though. However like others have said I have to actually cast spells when the prayerbook is used for it to be effective, so I think it works better for someone like a paladin, ie casting all the time.

Subtlety on cloak is also an enchant I had to painfully farm since its the only nice bonus for pve healing.

At least on Cenarius, making the bags isn't profitable, so it's far more likely that there's just two tailors that are revered with CC that are bad at math than that there's a shortage of tailors revered with CC.

lifegiving gem is still great for solo pvp and farming, since I'm only now starting to exceed 10000 health in DPS gear with battle shout up (the "nerf" changed the item from a 15% heal + 15% health buffer to a 1500 heal + 1500 health buffer), and since the item is a +1500 heal anyway it'll always be pretty nice. the effect also remains up for the duration if you swap the trinket for a different one, which is unusual. For tanking it's a bit worse than it was, but still very good

On the topic of macroing trinkets into spells, has anyone found a way to get rid of that absurd spell cancellation sound every time you hit such a macro when the trinket is not ready?

Stop the Fizzle describes the general method; you may have to dig in the MPQs if the fizzle sound for trinkets isn't one of those 5.

Prayer book is also not unique btw, I have a paladin friend who uses two of them. Pretty absurd with FoL spam.

I would love to see a 5 man arena team with 5 Water elemental mages each with cornerstone Grimoires.

15 vs 5!

There is light at the end of the tunnel.
The only problem is, it's often an incoming train.
