That's the only beatdown ability in Thottbot. The value for it though... 12601 threat? Could that possibly be right?

At a glance:

Class changes are really good for the most part. Clearcasting nerfs for both Shamans and Paladins, other than that mostly small tweaks or improvements.
Dungeon changes are good.
Profession changes are good.
UI changes are all awesome.

I'm really looking forward to trying this out.

for some reason this got skipped in the pasted notes:

The drops for "The Vials of Eternity" have been modified. Vashj's and Kael's Vial Remnants are now multi-drop quest items. This means they'll be lootable by each raid member who is on the quest, as opposed to the four vials that drop at the moment.

* Reagent costs and potency of all flasks has been reduced.

Found that, but it doesn't mention anything about taking up both elixir slots...

The patch notes don't always mention *all* the changes, so who knows. Although this is quite the extensive list. This almost looks like either:
a) An internal "full feature" list of the changes
or
b) A response to players saying "give us more info than just 'fixed some bugs' "

I guess we will have to wait to see how Hunter's Mark was affected...that alone could drastically alter hunter raiding Game. Just like taking KC off the GCD will add at least 60 DPS with the pet alive.

I wonder how far they intend to take hunter dps.

Eyonix has provided a small example:
http://blue.cardplace.com/newcache/us/94850206.htm

We wanted to give players a closer glimpse at the changes being made regarding flask reagent costs and potency in patch 2.1. Please see the example below:

Flask of Mighty Restoration - Current
Instant
Regenerate 70 mana per 5 sec for two hours.

Dreaming Glory x20
Mana Thistle x10
Fel Lotus x1

Flask of Might Restoration - Patch 2.1
Instant
Regenerate 25 mana per 5 sec for two hours.

Dreaming Glory x7
Mana Thistle x3
Fel Lotus x1

(Please Note: The drop rate for Fel Lotus is also being increased by approximately 15% in the same patch)

Players will notice that while the effect of the flask has been dramatically reduced, so has the cost to create one. All alchemy flasks will be adjusted similarly. Lets look at an elixir with the same effect for comparison:

Elixir of Major Mageblood
Instant
Regenerate 16 mana per 5 sec for 60 min.

Ancient Lichen x1
Netherbloom x1

While the flask still requires more materials than this elixir, it also allows 9 more mana to regenerate per 5 seconds, lasts twice as long, and persists through death. The flask is probably best used when facing encounters that are especially challenging to your party or raid.

Also, we've seen players request details on the four new elixirs scheduled to go live with the next content patch and as a result, they've been detailed below.

* Elixir of Draenic Wisdom: Intellect and Spirit are increased by 25.
* Earthen Elixir: Reduces both spell and physical damage taken by 20.
* Elixir of Ironskin: Resilience is raised by 30.
* Elixir of Major Fortification: Increases health by 250 and provides 10 health every 5 seconds.

Its almost like they recoded the entire game. I especially enjoy

Your current target will now display all of the duration based spells
that you have cast on them with cooldown rings so you will know how
much longer they will last. Very useful for warlock damage over time
spells and druid healing over time spells as well as many others.

Good to great for just about everything. I admit I was somewhat on the fence regarding raiding currently, but they really pulled out all the stops.

I'm really snickering at how massive this patch is after Blizzard promised smaller patches after the big AQ patch so long ago.

I honestly don't know what to think. On one hand, they seem to have nerfed the effectiveness of our healing pretty hard.

The spiritual attunement change also makes it much harder for a paladin tank to generate mana if he gets a lucky string of dodges

On the other hand, it seem protection tree is getting a few new toys that at first glance sound nice but in reality dont seem to really adress any of the problems we have been going on about. If AS doesnt have a casting time, itll be a great threat generation ability, otherwise, its basicaly as useful as it was (aka good on the pull, forget about it after).

It's not doom and gloom like general forums would lead us to believe, but I'm left with this feeling that no issue has realy been fixed

I didn't see anything particularly useful in the prot paladin change beside maybe Ardent defender. It still won't stop paladins from getting 2 shotted by same-damage hits back to back. My personal preference would be to see damage reduced by 20% below 50% life.

"Elemental Focus": This talent now reduces the cost of the next damage spell by 60%. It will also now trigger from bonus spells cast by "Lightning Overload".

I didn't think it'd be considered broken at 100% reduction, I chain chug mana pots on long boss fights just like everyone else. The only time from my experience the talent has given me nearly endless mana has been when grinding low level mobs, hardly something to balance around. As the only form of active or passive mana-conservation for casting shamans... buh. Perhaps I should save my whining until I see it in action on PTR.

Was the Naxx patch really much different? While it's size was just as big, it contained less fixes, whereas this one contains like a billion fixes with realativily little content. Adding quests to areas already in game, adding a revamp of some maps, adding a small instanced zone.

While this patch may look like a lot, it's just all the fixes they knew about from the TBC beta and didn't fix then. Hell some of the items that weren't disenchantable were level 62 quest rewards ones which indicates little interest in fixing some content, while the content less people will see gets more attention.

The rage gain while tanking from hitting things is basically inconsequential.

The only thing missing are built in totem timers. Blizzard really is pulling out all the stops when it comes to integrating add-ons.

Probably circles that will tick downwards (like a clock) for the duration of debuffs.

The SA change really won't be a big deal if it works as I suspect: overhealing still counts as long as you weren't at 100% when it was cast.
Rest assured, if you're tanking in a 25-man you'll have enough mana to spam aggro just from the effective healing you're taking. Smaller groups, well, let's just say when I tank Prince after this change I'll be chugging mana pots because he won't be able to hurt me. 8-charge HS is just awesome.

Still, we need to see how T4/T5 are changed before we start cheering. If there's still int/mp5 all over it, I will be less than pleased.
