New Flask Stats

Not sure on the new costs for them but... can read the spell.dbc for their effects now

Flask of Fortification 500 HP and 10 Defense Rating
Flask of Mighty Restoration 25 MP5
Flask of Relentless Assault 120 AP
Flask of Arcane Fortification 35 Arcane Resist 20 HP5
Flask of Shadow Fortification 35 Arcane Resist 20 HP5

Going to go find the old flask info now.

Edit: Old Flasks

Flask of Titans 400 HP
Distilled Wisdom 65 Intellect
Supreme Power 70 Spell Damage
Chromatic Resistance 25 Resist All

Aww for gods sake, they might aswell slap an Elixir stamp on this crap now. This hurts alot as I just had 10 flasks created and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who had a stack of flasks laying around.

BTW interesting other notes there is some sort of Simon Game somewhere in WoW now (you know the device with red, green, yellow, and blue buttons).

Frost Grenade freezes players in place.

There is some sort of Unstable Flask of the (random 3 Attributes Name, ex Bandit, Elder, Beast, etc)

Most them give 20, 30, or 40 of the stats they depend on.

I recommend selling them now...they will be nowhere near worth 80g+ in the patch.

FoRA I dont understand...I thought Flasks were going to be slightly better then their elixir brothers? I mean...Fel Strength + the New HP Elixir > FoRA...I don't want to have to farm those two elixirs when I can get the Flask for cheaper. I am so spoiled.

This is definitely a significant reduction to flask power and seems to support the elixir changes perfectly. Also, they no longer overshadow gear progression either so I think our concerns were properly addressed.

All in all, can't wait for 2.10 to go live

You may win a thousand battles, but you can only lose one.

I suppose it would technically be better but I'll still go for the flasks since it lasts through death, hp isn't too big of a deal for me right now.

Edit: I like the change a lot, it takes a crap-ton of stress off of raid preperation. Herb prces may or may not stabalize on the AH but at least if I want to grab herbalism on an alt, the time i'll spend farming will be very minimal.

Do you really think you won't have ample oppurtunity to use/sell them? In case you haven't noticed, this patch isn't coming out next week.

I really like the direction of flasks now. A small buff that doesn't completely overshadow gear progression.

As well, this is the info Eyonix has posted about the new flasks, not comprehensive, but at least it gives a good idea of what to expect for the mats now required.

We wanted to give players a closer glimpse at the changes being made regarding flask reagent costs and potency in patch 2.1. Please see the example below:

Flask of Mighty Restoration - Current
Instant
Regenerate 70 mana per 5 sec for two hours.

Dreaming Glory x20
Mana Thistle x10
Fel Lotus x1

Flask of Might Restoration - Patch 2.1
Instant
Regenerate 25 mana per 5 sec for two hours.

Dreaming Glory x7
Mana Thistle x3
Fel Lotus x1

(Please Note: The drop rate for Fel Lotus is also being increased by approximately 15% in the same patch)

Players will notice that while the effect of the flask has been dramatically reduced, so has the cost to create one. All alchemy flasks will be adjusted similarly. Lets look at an elixir with the same effect for comparison:

Elixir of Major Mageblood
Instant
Regenerate 16 mana per 5 sec for 60 min.

Ancient Lichen x1
Netherbloom x1

While the flask still requires more materials than this elixir, it also allows 9 more mana to regenerate per 5 seconds, lasts twice as long, and persists through death. The flask is probably best used when facing encounters that are especially challenging to your party or raid.

Also, we've seen players request details on the four new elixirs scheduled to go live with the next content patch and as a result, they've been detailed below.

* Elixir of Draenic Wisdom: Intellect and Spirit are increased by 25.
* Earthen Elixir: Reduces both spell and physical damage taken by 20.
* Elixir of Ironskin: Resilience is raised by 30.
* Elixir of Major Fortification: Increases health by 250 and provides 10 health every 5 seconds.

Twin Blades of Azzinoth exist and has a chance to increase on hit your melee Haste by 450.

You can now create Cauldrons of the Major Protection potions that raid members can then use to conjure the relevant potion.

Definately a great change, and fits with the current power of elixirs perfectly.

And the removal of Rumsy Rum fills me with complete joy. How I hated devoting that much space to something so small.

Did they change fel strength. Would be kind of rediculous to have a flask with the same AP as an elixir.

Wow. All of this is great info, thanks for doing this digging Cryect. At the risk of derailing this thread though, one of my guildies is berating me over AIM asking me if there's anything about Ashbringer in yet. Could you please take a quick scan through the files however you do that and see if there are any new additions?

They last 2 hours and through death. That is their benefit. Use elixirs for farming and for trash and use a flask for a boss fight that you're learning on and can't reliably one-shot. Or use it on stuff that having another stam or other stat buff isn't important. It gives you a choice now instead of a clear cut "must have".

This is especially considering cheap these potions are to make now.

Yawn being a lazy coder sure bites me in the ass for doing this stuff by hand (heh so dependent on WoWhead and thottbot :p)

Here's the Tier 6 Class Trinkets

Priest - Each time your Shadow Word: Pain deals damage, it has a 10% chance to grant you 200 spell damage for 5 seconds and each time your Renew heals, it has a 10% chance to grant you 200 healing for 5 seconds.
Druid - Mangle has a 40% chance to grant 125 Strength for 8 seconds, Starfire has a 25% chance to grant up to 135 spell damage for 8 seconds, and Rejuvenation has a 25% chance to grant up to 190 healing for 8 seconds.
Warrior - Your Mortal Strike, Bloodthirst, and Shield Slam attacks have a 25% chance to heal you for 300 and grant 50 Strength for 12 seconds.
Rogue - 20% chance per combo point for your finishing moves to grant 132 critical strike rating for 12 seconds.
Shaman - Lesser Healing Wave has a 10% chance to grant 100 mana, Lightning Bolt has a 15% chance to grant up to 100 mana, and Stormstrike has a 50% chance to grant up to 250 attack power for 10 seconds.
Paladin - Flash of Light and Holy Light have a 10% chance to grant your target 130 healing over 12 seconds, and your Judgements have a 50% chance to inflict 115 damage on their target over 12 seconds.
Warlock - Each time your Corruption deals damage, it has a 20% chance to grant you 200 spell damage for 5 seconds.
Mage - Your spell critical strikes have a 50% chance to grant you 130 spell damage for 5 seconds.
Hunter - Your Steady Shot has a 15% chance to grant you 250 attack power for 8 seconds.

Also a Black Temple Tank Trinket
Vigilance of the Colossus (Possible Name or at least Name of Spell Effects) - Each successful block has a chance to increase your maximum health by X for X. Each successful block heals you for 115.

Flask of Supreme Power is 70 spell damage, an Elixir of Major Shadow power is +65 shadow damage for me. Okay, there's a tiny difference, but the huge advantage is the Flask lasting through deaths for 2 hours -- with a much more reasonable cost. I can go out and farm mats for one flask right now, and not be too annoyed, but if that's making me 3 flasks, that's downright awesome. Whereas just the thought of farming up 3 flasks now makes me slightly ill.

That sounds to me like the fixed effect on Figurine of the Colossus, and if so that's quite a buff.
