New Flask Stats

Not sure on the new costs for them but... can read the spell.dbc for their effects now

Flask of Arcane Fortification 35 Arcane Resist 20 HP5

Supreme Power 70 Spell Damage

Aww for gods sake, they might aswell slap an Elixir stamp on this crap now. This hurts alot as I just had 10 flasks created and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who had a stack of flasks laying around.

BTW interesting other notes there is some sort of Simon Game somewhere in WoW now (you know the device with red, green, yellow, and blue buttons).

Frost Grenade freezes players in place.

There is some sort of Unstable Flask of the (random 3 Attributes Name, ex Bandit, Elder, Beast, etc)

Most them give 20, 30, or 40 of the stats they depend on.

I recommend selling them now...they will be nowhere near worth 80g+ in the patch.

FoRA I dont understand...I thought Flasks were going to be slightly better then their elixir brothers? I mean...Fel Strength + the New HP Elixir > FoRA...I don't want to have to farm those two elixirs when I can get the Flask for cheaper. I am so spoiled.

This is definitely a significant reduction to flask power and seems to support the elixir changes perfectly. Also, they no longer overshadow gear progression either so I think our concerns were properly addressed.

All in all, can't wait for 2.10 to go live

You may win a thousand battles, but you can only lose one.

I suppose it would technically be better but I'll still go for the flasks since it lasts through death, hp isn't too big of a deal for me right now.

Edit: I like the change a lot, it takes a crap-ton of stress off of raid preperation. Herb prces may or may not stabalize on the AH but at least if I want to grab herbalism on an alt, the time i'll spend farming will be very minimal.

Do you really think you won't have ample oppurtunity to use/sell them? In case you haven't noticed, this patch isn't coming out next week.

I really like the direction of flasks now. A small buff that doesn't completely overshadow gear progression.

As well, this is the info Eyonix has posted about the new flasks, not comprehensive, but at least it gives a good idea of what to expect for the mats now required.

We wanted to give players a closer glimpse at the changes being made regarding flask reagent costs and potency in patch 2.1. Please see the example below:

Flask of Mighty Restoration - Current
Instant
Regenerate 70 mana per 5 sec for two hours.

Dreaming Glory x20
Mana Thistle x10
Fel Lotus x1

Flask of Might Restoration - Patch 2.1
Instant
Regenerate 25 mana per 5 sec for two hours.

Dreaming Glory x7
Mana Thistle x3
Fel Lotus x1

(Please Note: The drop rate for Fel Lotus is also being increased by approximately 15% in the same patch)

Players will notice that while the effect of the flask has been dramatically reduced, so has the cost to create one. All alchemy flasks will be adjusted similarly. Lets look at an elixir with the same effect for comparison:

Elixir of Major Mageblood
Instant
Regenerate 16 mana per 5 sec for 60 min.

Ancient Lichen x1
Netherbloom x1

While the flask still requires more materials than this elixir, it also allows 9 more mana to regenerate per 5 seconds, lasts twice as long, and persists through death. The flask is probably best used when facing encounters that are especially challenging to your party or raid.

Also, we've seen players request details on the four new elixirs scheduled to go live with the next content patch and as a result, they've been detailed below.

* Elixir of Draenic Wisdom: Intellect and Spirit are increased by 25.
* Earthen Elixir: Reduces both spell and physical damage taken by 20.
* Elixir of Ironskin: Resilience is raised by 30.
* Elixir of Major Fortification: Increases health by 250 and provides 10 health every 5 seconds.

Twin Blades of Azzinoth exist and has a chance to increase on hit your melee Haste by 450.

You can now create Cauldrons of the Major Protection potions that raid members can then use to conjure the relevant potion.

Definately a great change, and fits with the current power of elixirs perfectly.

And the removal of Rumsy Rum fills me with complete joy. How I hated devoting that much space to something so small.

Appears there should be something in game for untraining Tailoring Specialities and Alchemy Masteries as well.
