I heard a rumor about cauldrons for protection or resistance potions for raids- probably just that a rumor, but if there's more information this would be a lovely thread to put it in when it's found out =) /hint

Ok that makes tons of sense, since a lot of what a shadow priest is doing is actually trying to return mana to the group rather than necessarily maximizing personal damage.
It's not that it's a raid design thing, it's a class design thing.
With shadow embrace there's actually an advantage to keeping corruption up on all the mobs.

Druids don't really use Mangle that often unless in bear form have to keep in mind the amount of usage of a move really and if anything it gives a benefit for your mangle bitch (depends on how many feral druids you roll with but we go with 2 or 3 under normal conditions).
Anyways the trinket the math needs to be worked out if the optimum cycle changes under this trinket or not.

You can now create Cauldrons of the Major Protection potions that raid members can then use to conjure the relevant potion.

Oh, did I forget to put that on here whoops >_<
Haha I mentioned it on IRC, but yeah Alchemy has Cauldrons of Protection they can make which work like Soul Wells except Protection potions.
Edit: There is one for each of the Protection Potions except Holy.
Edit2: Oh I did mention it.

Well, just simple math on the warrior trinket gives it 50% uptime, at best. This is not counting procs that happen early and just refresh the duration. So ~50 ap + a worthless heal. Unless the trinket creates some amazing set bonus, you won't ever wear this.

If I understand this right, this is to allow people to kill Gruul with especially powerful buffs to get him down, without making these buffs render other encounters useless?
So if you are not sure of a guaranteed kill with just regular player buffs, this special flask will allow you to drop him?
<Raiding guild> could kill Gruul and can continue to do so under their own steam, <diffendars of teh Hord> now stands a fighting chance too?

Is it a trained ability? A recipe? How many charges? I find this concept fascinating.

More info on Twin Blades of Azzinoth from datamining is they can be broken into 2 separate warglaives (called Twin Warglaives of Azzinoth) or joined back together into Twin Blades of Azzinoth.

Unstable Flasks have no recipe at least probably associated with something I guess with Gruul or the new quests there or some item that drops off ogres there.

It's a tradeoff between DPS and DPM, and usually not worth it. SW:P is an expensive spell and if you spam it you run oom in 1 min flat. Mana that would be better used on a CoS + 5/5 Shadoweaving + VT'd target so you benefit most out of it. You simply can't afford to DoT multiple targets in any long fight.

The cauldrons each have a recipe don't know where you get them.
www.whataboutpp.com shows them taking 2x Primals, 7x Mana Thistle, and 1x Fel Iron Casing.

You know, and I'm sure I'm due for a warning or something due to OT comments, but seirously- does anyone know of another forum where universal widespread massive nerfs to buffs would be considered 'awesome'? I mean, I agree completely, just found that comment amusing.

Well can see major savings in my gold at least.
Healing-wise - for mp5 on new boss fights think a Resto Flask and an old Mageblood Pot (12mp5) are going to work quite nicely together. Definitely time to put those mp5 enchants/gems on too.
All in all a welcome change to those of us who go through many consumeables every week - just hope Blizzard tune the fights to correctly match these nerfed flasks :S

Unless Blizzard is dumber than I'd expected, I'd guess the elixir changes planned count for all elixirs out there, not just the new ones introduced in the expansion, so you'd have a hard time using a flask and a mageblood potion together.

Does that mean +130 healing for 12 seconds (ala a mini-amp), or 130 dmg healed over 12 seconds? If it's the latter, it works out to on average 13 healing extra on a spell cast. Whoop-de-f'n-doo. Libram of Souls Redeemed, where are you?
The judgement dot is pretty mediocre too .. 57.5 damage on average per judgement? or, best-case, 7.something DPS. I'd rather have Libram of Avengement, for keeping up our new stacking Vengeance (because Seal of Vengeance works so well too...). Hopefully they make Vengeance refreshed on any melee swing (not just a crit), otherwise it's gunna fall over more often than I do while ice skating.

Ok there is one thing i just dont get.
The number of herbs required for flasks were cut in third for all herbs except fel lotus.
To compensate that the fel lotus ammount isnt being cut in third (because there is only one) they are increasing the droprate by 15%?
Uhm... to keep it in line with the other herbs shouldnt it be increased by 200%?

Alright looking at how HoTs should work I actually screwed up the paladin trinket its supposed to be
Paladin - Flash of Light and Holy Light have a 10% chance to grant your target 440 healing over 12 seconds, and your Judgements have a 50% chance to inflict 440 damage on their target over 12 seconds.
The 130 and 115 was per tick amount and not the entire amount. Which makes a whole lot more sense. And the correct numbers are 110 added something I shouldn't have on those ones so they were higher than they should have been.

As you correctly state the old mageblood was never an elixier. ^^
This could change though.
