For what it's worth, the new sounds indicate that Kael'thas has four advisors which may be part of his encounter, minibosses before him or something like that:

This is what I'm gathering happens.

This begins with Akama who is the Ashtongue guy you do quests for in Shadowmoon. He guards the prisoner Maiev. At some point you do some quests for him then he tells you of Olum, who I am guessing you save from Serpentshrine.

BTPRLUDE_Akama01.wav - "Olum old friend, it is good to see that you are safe"
BTPRLUDE_Olum01.wav - "Akama my friend, have you been informed? I was found out by Vashj's followers, our secret is in peril!"
BTPRLUDE_Olum02.wav - "Illidan is looking for me, I am not safe here, none of us are."
BTPRLUDE_Akama02.wav - "Illidan will become suspicous, that much is for certain, we will deal with it as we always do"
BTPRLUDE_Olum03.wav - "Illidan will find me, and when he does he WILL pry the ashtongue secret from me, such is the power of the betrayer! Now, there is only one way... my usefulness to the cause has come to an end... I must venture into the spirit world!"
BTPRLUDE_Akama03.wav - "Olum, you cannot be serious! Your sacrifice has allready been too great."

(Now you are presumably in front of Illidan, again, Akama is pretending to be on his side still and you have the body of Olum)

So far the only things I have found implies a trip to SSC and The Eye to kill Pheonix. While it is likely you will have to complete Hyjal to do any of this, I haven't found anything confirming that yet.

I personally don't see why that is supposed to be so likely. As far as I'm aware Hyjal and the Black Temple could both be Tier 6 content, much like Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye are both Tier 5 content.

Atleast hats my assumption of what they would be.

Looks like BT will be [Start -> Boss -> Boss -> Boss]x3 -> Illidan
Which sounds kind of short.... however there could also be two paths of 4/5(4) respectivly sadly I doubt thats the case. BTW the essences are related to the "Well of Souls" boss, no doubt it shifts between each of them and your raid has to adapt differently in accordance.

Sorry if i've missed it somewhere, but can anyone tell me how people are listening to all of the sound files for the patch? I have downloaded the test client, just cant seem to find any way of listening to them.

Use WinMPQ to open the .mpq files from the /WoWTest/ folder in your World of Warcraft folder and you will find all the .wav's in them. There are only two or three useful MPQ's or just mpq's at all so you will be able to find them easier.

The second game I did this month is World of Warcraft: the Burning Crusades. It is an expansion to the original game. For anyone who plays WoW, my character name is Veras Darkshadow. He is a Blood Elf Councilmember in a high level dungeon which will be added in an upcoming patch. I don't play, so please let me know if you come across my voice. =)
