You can see what seems to be the first boss right from where you enter the instance. Leviathan, a 2-headed lizard type boss in the model of those that can be found in Zangar.
That's a trash mob. The first boss is up the ramp to the right, then up the ramp to the left, then on the right hand side. If you know what you're doing you can actually run all the way to him without aggroing anything.
Once a time, hunters had Barbarous Blade. Then, we were given an epic quest through Rhok'delar & Lok'delar. Barb Of The Sand Reaver was a wet dream for every hunter for sure, until The Eye of Nerub came.
And now, Twinblade Of The Phoenix is our new 2 hander. I'm very, very excited both by the stats and the look.
Didn't add those already on the wowraid picture (except a ring I just noticed ...). I also added changed existing loot from those you get in the PTR equip boxes, so some of it is old for some people. Anyway, here goes;

Reason: Woot, new host!
The items "Belt of deep shadow" "belt of the long road", and "belt of the black eagle" all appear on thottbot.com listed as recipes that require nether vortexes.
Here are the appropriate links (excuse my inability to use bblcode):

Is the SSC Mage trinket some kind of sick joke?
On a different note, as previously stated in this thread, yeah ... I gained ~400AC wearing all the T5 I got, lost >600hp, gained maybe 2% dodge, 10def. The only real upgrades are the neck(frayed tether of the drowned)/weapon(mallet of the tides)/trinket(scarab of displacement) - the AC on the T5 items is amazing, but without appropriate enchants/sockets available at the ready, it's barely even worth using. It ends up being tradeoffs like 50ish stam (30sta leg enchant + gems) vs 200AC -.- What I'm trying to say is that with mediocre-progressed gear (working on magtheridon), I'm seeing no "huge" upgrade, making this "free" gear pretty much worthless. I've had guildies DEing their old epics to make void spheres to at least get the socket bonuses on a couple occasions :< Prospecting stacks and stacks of adamantite on the PTR for green gems is fun, too. :P

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to have that crit AND the previous proc bonus. They just accidentally deleted the old when adding the new. Most likely. Probably. I guess
Well, I guess there isn't much doubt that there's a shadow resist encounter in BT.
Also the reference to David Wayne in the april fool's joke diagram may not be as off possibly. Certainly a quest chain that pre-figures BT. Anyone yet discovered honest-to-good attunement chain lead-ins?
It does seem like an oversight that Blizzard hasnt added a gem/enchant vendor to socket and pimp the shiny free purples. Without proper enchants and gems the gear they give out on the PTR is very much a downgrade in terms of stats (the looks are a definite upgrade ). Either an oversight or perhaps the gear requirements arent as harsh as they are rumoured to be.
If you are planning some serious testing it would probably be a good idea to transfer a mule with a lot of materials on it.

<snip>
Exciting!
The most interesting part is that those belts appear to be BOE. I wonder if those recipes are supposed to be found in SSC and the eye or if it's Hiyal and black temple
Trash past Naj: Bunch of flying mobs outside this gate (Which won't open till you kill Naj.. and there's a tunnel leading up here so priests cant mind vision past here (no mobs in the tunnel))
Not entirely true.. there are a couple of (small, npc) spiders in the tunnel that allow you to hop up close enough to get into the flying mob area. From there you can target the boss in that zone and '/tar temple' to get to the Blood Elf area. I couldn't figure out how to get past Mother Shahraz, though...
I'm in blues and three Karazhan/heroic epics on the regular server and the Tier 5 priest kit mostly boosted my core stats (intellect, spirit, stamina, etc) rather than healing and mana regen. In fact, I think I only gained about 100 +healing! On a more shallow perspective, though, the new gear looks goooooooooood.
Paladins grab the shaman box for good boots, bracers, belt and rejuv gem if you never got it. Shamans grab the paladin box for shield, cloak, second ring and maybe ribbon of sacrifice.
As i see the weapon in the hands of warriors as well, i'm sure that the discussion under the tag "hunter weapon" between warriors and hunters, which occured during the AQ40 runs for once a time's dreamed weapon Barb Of The Sand Reaver, will come alive again. And this time for Twinblades Of The Phoenix. It possibly is in the both hunter and warrior test packs in PTR, since i see both classes wandering around in Shattrath, holding it.
Anyway, here i go.
Twinblades Of The Phoenix and Serpent Spine Longbow(Possible expected bow drop from lady Vashj)
Nop, it's just in hunter pack, warriors just get tanking gear on PTR as per usual. The dps on it is pretty hot, and ignoring the sockets and the stamina it's like an upgraded felsteel reaper. Does not surprise me that both classes want it. It's for the guilds to settle who gets it though.

ehh, judging by what we've seen so far I think there will be plenty of options for 2H warrior weapons
that bow, on the other hand, is very much a warrior bow
Exactly. Just for example, as a hunter i could understand warriors who desired Barb Of The Sand Reaver really. With the polearm spec MS build, and Barb Of The Sand Reaver, a warrior was gaining extreme +8% crit rating. And it sounds devastating
Belt of the Long Road
Cloth Belt
+9 Stamina
+15 Intellect
+30 Spirit
Blue Socket
Yellow Socket
Bonus +7 Healing
+66 Healing
Belt of the Black Eagle
+15 Agi
+16 Stamina
+20 Intellect
Blue Socket
Yellow Socket
+3 Agility Socket Bonus
Crit +15 Rating
+60 AP
Also, all weapons are probably desireable to a lot of different classes.
No reason to talk about it, especially when in essence it's just "lol huntar wepon!1!".
We know you use AP and Crit and Sockets. I promise.
