Change(Just gonna type it out, don't feel like SSing)
Chest: -5 agility, + 12 Hit Rating
Legs: -4 Agility, +10 Hit Rating
Now if they'd only do the same for the other 3 pieces, and then change the agility to Crit Rating, we'd be good.
Guys keep up, read the thread, everything is getting buffed across the board, more changes inc. It's likely they nerfed it for the old build, and haven't gotten around to buffing it for the next one >_>
Hmm I get the feeling you should listen to yourself :p Tier 6 is obviously going to recieve the biggest buff of all items so its a bit premature to discuss it in its current state.
They should NOT put hit on all items though, since it will be too much for MS builds. Fury Warriors will have plenty of other pieces to pick it up from.

Citing the glancing blow buff as the reason weapons are getting nerfed when they're all getting buffed across the board is a little different then pointing out an upgrade to an armor set and giving my 2 copper on it. QQ

What is the most important thing to you? Won't you grant me the pleasure of taking it away.
Aldori Legacy Defender has yet to receive a buff. It looks like mostly BoE/Heroic/Trade Skill related buffs so far. Kalgan says there's more to come Monday, and specifically mentioned a tier 6 buff then, so it sounds like raid stuff will be buffed across the board on Monday.
Yeah I expected if it was updated I'd have heard by now, just curious because I transfered over before picking up mine, so I have to hope someone links it, and with the way the thread is going, that'll probably happen.
Glad to see they're doing some good work on this stuff.
Don't forget the cursing when the item you passed on or had sharded is buffed to be better than what you have otherwise.
Rebirth's loot culture doesn't rot loot because this isn't the first (or the last) time blizzard has reevaluated. We have a few people with the romulo poison vial (for instance) in their bank that picked it up "because it'll change".
Loot system maintainers/designers take heed: The world is still the world we knew, blizzard will still update items, don't encourage rot of percieved useless stuff that's at your max tier of progression.
Well Anias, I see your point.. but who could have seen some of these buffs/nerfs coming? There's no predictability to it, and Blizz has been highly inconsistant regarding what they change and how they change it.
Take for instance the caster boots from Maiden.. right now they are flat +dmg with 2 sockets, high stam. Most Mages have passed on them because they are horrible for Mages compared to other options right now. Most of our pairs have either gone to Warlocks, Shadow Priests or been voided.
Now, they're getting a huge +crit buff and losing a chunk of stamina--effectively making them somewhat non-optimal for the people who DO have them (affliction locks/priests) and great for the people who have passed on them. Who could have ever seen adjustments like that coming?
Given that people still do need void crystals for enchants, it's not really an option to pass out everything on the off-chance that, "Blizzard might buff this in some random way at some unforseen point in the future 6 months later...maybe."
We just took everything that dropped the first few runs through kara, now everyone has everything that might matter off all but the last few bosses, we've mostly moved on from kara anyways, and void crystals are easy.
Also - the basement respawns after a soft reset, along with the rare elite that drops a guaranteed void crystal. (ok sometimes he drops a boot/belt/bracer of resistance, but mostly he's just void crystals) given that it takes 15 minutes to ravage that room, void crystals aren't too hard to come by.
Seriously, the rate at which epics are generated from kara alone makes it worth not rotting items if you could "sort of" justify them. It's easy to say "this is a caster piece" and bank it until you're to the next tier.
Once you're farming ssc or tk, go back and shard all the random kara stuff - once you're farming bt or hyjal go back and shard the random ssc/tk stuff.
I'm not saying that you don't break/sell the old - I'm saying that when it is the top of your progression tier, it's probably worth banking the random "not sure what's up with this" items simply because blizzard has a long history (dating back to t1 epics, but even further back for itemization in general) of changing their mind. This is also why pricing items based on their ilvl is generally a better idea than pricing them on their "percieved value" as when the item changes it's often no change to ilvl, and even when it's a change to ilvl it's an easy update to your previous pricing compared to pricing it out based on "well it first dropped on a tuesday, it has 30 crit rating and 783 armor, must cost about, I dunno, hrm, lets say xx".
Noticed a post about dwarf female shoulder resizement. They're not the only ones apparently
Right one's from PTR, I couldn't get rid of the feeling that avatar's just going to collapse under the weight of those. Aw well, at least they don't clip into head while mounting..
Those engineering googles make me regret dropping the profession. What is driving the armor upgrade on items? I can't correlate anything in the patch notes that would associate an increased physical dps from mobs that would necessitate a buff of armor on items. What am I missing?

Flask/elixir change? You'll lose the armor buff from elixirs if you use a flask.

Reason: avoiding doubles
Armor increasing is a passive side-effect of an item's ilevel increasing--as the base armor on an item is tied directly to its type/ilevel. Doubt it was particularly "intended", so to speak, other than in the cases where bonus armor was increased.

And the fact that they're implementing the limit of 1 or 2 elixirs/flasks at the same time...
Someone alluded to these changes earlier but didn't post the stats (from what I saw).
Azure-shield of Coldarra
4668 Armor (+407)
115 block value (+14)
33 stamina (+5)
32 defense rating (+12)
+33 Block value (+3)
Crest of the sha'tar
4465 Armor (+407)
108 block (+15)
19 stamina (+1)
2 blue sockets with a +3 dodge rating socket bonus (no change)
13 Defense rating (+2)
+24 block value (+1)
The shield of Impenetrable Darkness off Nightbane (previously a twin to Azure-shield of Coldarra) is unchanged, so it's now inferior to the badge and rep shields. I wasn't able to see if the Aldori Legacy Protector has changed or not.
Also, no changes to the sun-eater or vanquisher legplates yet.

Holy crap I just pooped my pants. I didn't realize they buffed the new googles. Glad I started getting the mats for them together, the crafting mats have remained the same for the goggles correct?

I'd say it's best to keep item comparisons till the next build of PTR, as Kalgan has clearly stated that this is only 1/3th of the changes.
Related to this, I suppose we wont get to see 2.1 on live next week?

Vanquisher's actually received a slight upgrade. 3 stam or something, I posted it earlier, dig through my pics!

I can only surmise the Shield of Impenetrable Darkness is due for an upgrade as well. I don't understand why they would buff rep/badge drops and wouldn't upgrade the NB shield as well.
They said they're buffing everything. Patience. Don't read into anything until 2.1 goes live or until they say that all item changes that will be made, have been made.

More items next week. Also I somewhat doubt that there was ample testing of Hyjal and BT just yet. Should not at least the very first boss of either instance being killable and not require a GM death touch before they could be properly tuned ?
I'd guess we're looking at minimum 2 weeks more testing, but who can say for sure. The patchnotes are already huge. The stuff coming in now by itself is huge. This is the biggest patch, in my opinion to ever hit the game. Even 2.0 (pre tbc) didn't bring as much and TBC itself was "mostly" new zones. This one is the "2.0 done right" patch. You know, be always wary of any software version ending in .0. WoW is no different.
As much as I like some of the changes to have right now, I truly hope patch 2.1 is not being rushed out. For many, patch 2.1 is the make or break point and I personally would hate losing some of the people I know will leave the game if it turns out not to fix some of the more major flaws currently in the game. On the other hand, of course, waiting too long will lead to more "good weather" attition.

Aye, I guess we're all jumping the gun a bit. They said they're gonna push out some more item changes on Monday.

Yes, that was the intent of my statement; to say I believe they'll come around to buffing the raid drops in light of the Rep/badge upgrades. I think it's safe to extrapolate the changes to the other two shields to the NB shield. Well at least that's what I'm doing for comparison.

Pardon for the nitpick but I've read the Monday-thing more than once here. Kalgan only said that the stuff you see this weekend isn't the end of all that's coming up. He didn't say there will be more on Monday.
Or maybe I missed another posting. But all that he said was "Don't base much off of what you see there this weekend." He didn't say "We're going to deliver the missing 2/3 of changes on Monday, wait for that!". Of course it could happen.
