We have updated the site for 4.0.6. Keep in mind that the Armory is down while the maintenance is going on, so some features may be unavailable.

New items and changes to items might not all show up at this time, either. We need to wait until those changes show up on the Armory. We expect that will happen during the day today after the patch goes live. Our plan is to clear our our item cache late tonight and then everything will be available Wednesday morning.

The change log for the site is here:
Change Log

We also have a post talking about changes we are working on due to the 4.0.6 patch. Any feedback would be welcome:

Is there any way to force it to gem/chant/reforge for 8% hit? I'm using 1.08 as the stat weight (2nd highest stat weight - behind STR) and I'm always getting between 7.96 and 7.99%. I know that's pretty damn close, but I like to know I'm capped.

Right now there is no option to force it to be above the cap.

We have a "buffer" built in to the cap that would allow it to go as high as 0.5% above the cap - but it will not choose to do so if there is a more optimal solution that leaves you very slightly under the cap.

Missing 0.05% of the time will not have a negative impact on your play. Sacrificing other stats to get that last tiny bit of hit is probably going to have a more negative impact on your DPS.

Except when, for example, a missed interrupt can wipe the raid. DPS isn't the only constraint, after all.

Generally the stats that need to be capped are better than other secondary stats until the cap is hit. Also the whole of point reforging is so that you can hit various caps exactly without sacrificing any rating due to said stats being above the caps.

The whole point of reforging is to allow players to customize and optimize their gear. Achieving a particular cap "exactly" is not necessarily the whole point.

Mr. Robot defines optimization as finding the highest possible EP value for an entire set of gear. Reforging to get "exactly" to the cap is not always going to yield the highest possible EP value.

If you prefer being totally hit capped over having the highest EP value, tweak a reforge or change a red gem to a purple gem. That should take care of it and probably won't affect your DPS much at all.

Nisall - you really should use Mr. Robot's optimizer! You have 9.40% hit in your armory profile right now! Mr. Robot would take you to a very comfortable 8.08% while increasing the overall EP value of your gear significantly.

Just wanted to let you all know that many improvements and changes to Mr. Robot have been made (and are continuing to be made). The change log can always be found here:
Change Log

Some noteworthy additions in the past week or so are:
1.) RoboMaul, Mr. Robot's pet bear, is now available! RoboMaul is an advanced theorycraft tool for bear druids.
2.) Complete overhaul of tanking stat weights and improvement of our code that calculates diminishing returns and crossover points with mastery for all tanking classes. Mr. Robot actually will figure out when to stop or start stacking mastery versus avoidance!
3.) We have increased the accuracy of the gear selection algorithm, especially around hit caps - but you can still enjoy the same great performance on the site - which we have actually improved!
4.) Updated default stat weights for many classes, based on latest post 4.0.6 theory.

Mr. Robot has done over 1 MILLION gear optimizations so far in his short life on the web!

Besides our regular updates, some big items which are in the works:
1.) Mr. Robot wants to bring his knowledge to smart phones! Look for mobile apps soon.
2.) PvP optimization - PvP'ers don't get much love from the theorycraft community, but Mr. Robot thinks that they are people too.

As always, we welcome all feedback and work continuously to improve the site.

I'm just wondering why it's telling me to get Earthen Vitality on my boots when I already have lava walker.
It also looks like it want's me to switch the gems in my belt around which would do nothing, but it keeps highlighting that.

If you want help figuring out why it's giving you the advice it does, you should post a link.

A link would certainly help.

As far as I know, Mr. Robot would never say to use earthen vitality instead of lava walker if it is already on your gear - even if you have the "exclude expensive stuff" filter checked.

There are currently two small issues regarding gems that I am aware of. Mr. Robot will sometimes move JC gems around and flag that as "different" even though it is an equivalent setup. A fix will be coming soon on that one. Mr. Robot will also sometimes swap the positions of cogwheel gems and flag that as different too. A quick fix for that is also coming.

We have posted an update! I put the change log in the OP for anyone who wants to view it.

The main highlights for this update are:
1.) PvP Support! We added editable hit/expertise caps, editable/cap-able resilience and spell penetration stat weights, all PvP items 352+ are in the item lists (crafted items coming soon), and item filters to choose which PvP gear to consider.
2.) We've begun our closer look at Warlock stat weights. Affliction made it into this update: Mr. Robot - Warlock Stat Weights

We posted another update!

Big additions:
1.) Added a Save feature to save your settings for different setups on your machine.
2.) Improved the "Show Stats" window to have more comparison options.

This update refactored a lot of code in preparation for our upcoming Mr. Robot mobile app. Please let us know here or on our forum if you see any bugs pop up.

Our 4.1 update is live!

As always, the change log can be found here:
Change Log

Major highlights in this update are:
1.) 4.1 new loot, of course.
2.) Major update to trinket estimates using Mr. Robot's trinket simulator! Read more here: Mr. Robot - Trinkets - World of Warcraft
3.) An update to a number of the stat weights for different specs. Some are due to 4.1 changes and a few were in the pipeline but we just hadn't finished them until now.

The stat weights on the site have Haste as more valuable than Crit (same as the Simcraft I just ran), but it's telling me to reforge my belt from Haste -> Hit instead of Crit -> Hit. I don't understand that.

edit: I think I might, now - reforging Haste results in a bit more Hit since the item has more Haste.

The Belt of Arcane Storms has:
171 Crit
191 Haste

The two choices are reforge 68 crit to hit or 76 haste to hit.
Option 1:
103 Crit
191 Haste
68 Hit

Option 2:
171 Crit
115 Haste
76 Hit

Weight for Crit = 39, Haste = 42, Hit = 76

Option 1: 17207
Option 2: 17275

They are nearly identical in value, but Mr. Robot simply uses the stat weights exactly. If seeing that suggestion bugs you, kick the weight for Crit down a tad, it shouldn't affect the rest of your gearing.

My analysis showed Haste and Crit to be very close in value for Destruction Warlocks, so I am guessing you wouldn't see much of a difference between the two reforges.

Another thing I noticed: On your character, you have a lot of t11 heroic gear, so you are actually on the edge of being able to start thinking about favoring the 30% haste threshold at the expense of hit. If you optimized like this: Using Mr. Robot's t11 Heroic Stat Weight Preset, you can get 30% haste raid-buffed.

I ran a couple of simulations for kicks (since I like to verify the accuracy of our optimizer).
1.) Your current gear: 25757
2.) Optimized with Mr. Robot Default weights: 25718
3.) Optimized with slight decrease in crit weight: 25790
4.) Optimized with Mr. Robot t11 Heroic weights: 25349

As expected, 1, 2, and 3 are very close, given the extremely minor changes between them. At your particular gear level, it seems that favoring haste slightly more gives a minor increase in damage. Number 4 shows you that once you get 1 or 2 more upgrades, if you don't mind missing some, you can probably start to squeeze out more DPS by favoring the 30% haste threshold.
