epic item revamp

The current build has about a third of a soon-to-be very large number of item changes (nearly every level 70 epic item in the game is in the process of being updated). Don't base much off of what you see there this weekend.
This was taken from a WoW thread which was posted by a blue. Honestly I have no idea how this will play out. For instance with the nurf to Mag, and now the increase stats to gear, I have a feeling its going to be a Gruul 2.0

"To put this in perspective: No tank would ever use T6 over these."

Oh my.

EDIT: Ok, "oh my" doesn't really cover it. I'm just going to hang on for a bit to see the other shoe drop though.

There's some discussion of that in this here thread: WTB: Patch 2.1 Gruul/Mag/SSC/TK/T5 Item Changes , as well as some stuff that's spilled over into the updated patch notes thread, and some of the class-specific stuff.

Seems like instead of heavily retuning SSC/TK for the consumable nerf, and nerfing tailoring gear, they are correcting their problems via gear upgrades. Some of the changes may upset people because of gear they disenchanted or or passed on previously, but overall this is completely the way to please the public and keep people raiding.

You're completely correct. I am now actually genuinely interested in giving the game a second chance, while before this change, I was likely going to let my account expire.

Presuming this is what is happening (and yeah, I am now a tailor/enchanter in TBC) I am all for it. I'm starting to wonder if it's all a master plan or reactive but the present trend is something I like. I am just cynical enough to think it's all been carefully planned but part of that stems from Tigole/Ariel interactions in the past =)

When smart people start acting in ways that seem stupid, I should pause to wonder more often I suppose.

How can we know? While it is supposition which is frowned on here I would have to say highly reactive rather than master plan.

Nerf tailoring items.
Un-nerf them.
Change everything else!, as per the wow forum cries. If they are changing T6 as they have posted, then surely it cant be for any reason then decisions made during beta.

Yeah, I mean they already have made a bevy of changes to the various feral weapons, and now they're updating them again? I would hope that if they have a 'master plan' they wouldn't be so slow at implementing it; better than they change course, even if massive damage has already been done.

Perhaps post the actual content in your OP burnserker. Its nice not to have to linkout to get to the meat of the discussion.
