We are trying these ******* trashmobs before Voidreaver. Each time we banish these, they keep throwign saw blades in the raid. Any Ideas, we tried kiting, min range, max range, los, front side, back side etc etc etc. Any hints or ideas? Are they broken?
Yeah Banish won't work, last we checked they became immune to our stuff, but went around killing us. Not sure if it's intended to be sort of comical or something, or if it's a bug, but I'd say yeah they're probably broken.
Really the key is to not let the raid get spammed with saws. Koaschten said LOS, I'm sure that works, but just as long as you're not getting the entire raid sawed you should be able to keep up with it. I know when we first checked them out someone said that the saws went through LOS so we didn't even bother, and just killed the two of them first right in LOS of the whole raid. (I believe the initial cast is restricted by LOS but if it hits someone in LOS it can continue through walls etc)
Also, the sawblades aren't bad if you spread out -- as far as I can tell, the mechanic targets one person to throw it at, and it spreads out in a cone on either side. Spreading out in a nice arc around them while they are being tanked in either corner by the doorway is the way to go.
We tank them directly on top of one another, with the tanks' backs out from the corner such that they can be healed without their saws owning the healers. DPS stays in until they're low HP, then run away and bandage/get healed.
We have our Hunters MD them to the warriors who are waiting out of LoS in the tunnel where we came from - use the old firemaw LoS trick to healers dont get hit and then have your Shaman spam chain heal (as if they dont already do so).
The trash is soo crap - it took us over 3 hours to clear to Void with our 23man raid (didn't read any strats, just learnt ourselves). It was 1am when we finally had a chance to attempt him and the raid could barely keep our eyes open. We only had 1 attempt but he will die tonight now that we have worked out the hardest part of the encounter - trash.
