Krosh Firehand not Buffing himself

Well, we went in to Gruul to see how it would go (once we got enough people online) but unfortunately, he never self buffed his shield. That raid ended fairly quickly after two attempts which ended in him Firebombing us all to death.

Anyone else experience this?

We're working on a hotfix for the problem where Krosh Firehand's Spell Shield is not cast immediately upon entering combat for a Mage to Spell Steal. This was not an intended change and we hope to have it fixed soon.

It made the fight more fun. We did have to run out, then swapped to a SL warlock to tank it. After about 20 sec he did put up the shield.

Gruul's hurtful strike is bugged too. Aggro is wrong.

I don't think Hurtful Strike is bugged, as far as I know it was changed so it would affect the 3rd highest on aggro instead.

There is no acceptable reason to put hurtful as third on aggro. You generate aggro through damage. If they intend 2 offtanks that is really stupid - it just hurts the other melee who are already having a bad day.
I would assume it is a bug.

On our Gruul Kill tonight we at first thought our KTMs were completely out of wack with the new patch, but after the second attempt it was pretty obvious that it was hitting the third person on the aggro list. I laughed pretty hard to myself trying to figure out how we would try to do misdirects.

Definitely was 3rd on aggro list.

Well Quigon, a change to Hurtful Strike was mentioned in the patch notes. Didn't expect it to be something like this since it does indeed not seem like a very logical change. From the patchnotes I'd guess he'd just do it more often. Maybe that's the intention and the target thing is a bug, who knows. But then again, that's beside the point and there's already a thread for this subject so I'll shut up now

I think it said he would hurtful strike more? Not hurtful strike your enhancement shaman. But again we haven't tried him yet. Spreading the damage and rage onto two tanks hurts the melee's ability to aggro cap. I'm just assuming it is a bug. Its too silly not to be.

Well, you could have your dps warrior push the dps harder to make sure he stays at the 2nd spot in KTM and have your offtank make sure he stays on the 3rd spot.

Who knows, maybe that's their way of helping a dps warrior (or enh shaman) to have less aggro constraints on Gruul? I agree with you though, it feels more like a bug.
