Minor and not sure if it's been mentioned, but they fixed the foot textures on my Ebon Gryphon mount. Previously, there were black vertical strips on the left and right thirds of the feet.
This was 'always' the flying without a mount animation. Sometimes if you lag on mounting, you'd fly around without your mount appearing and it looked like that. Same way as on the ground you could sometimes run for a few seconds at mounted speed.
But yes, I see the swim animation every dismount at the moment. Mildly irritating.
This is probably due to the dismount check moving client-side.
Can anyone non-anonymous weigh in on what was done to Solarian in 2.1, on the live servers?
I remember FTH posting in the old PTR thread that Solarian's AM was now pure RSTS. In response to this, we went and crafted full AR sets over the past couple of days.
Ok just tried alar and can confirm that the meteor only does 5k dmg on one target now.
Fixed also a "bug" when he never switch platform in p1.
They also nerfed the small birds (trash at alar) back to old values or even less than before.
Alar also has a 10min berserker rage in p2
An evasion, sprint, etc. death run to Morogrim may be in order. :o
Was there any change to the effectiveness of invis potting? Our rogue always failed at stealthing to agro him pre-patch so I would just pop an invis pot and do it myself.

so no clumping is ever required anymore? we killed alar on ptr and this change obviously was last minute as we did kill alar on ptr on sunday i beileve and you still had to clump up for meteor damage, it was do-able, not sure why they changed that mechanic.
Just a list of things I've noticed in Kara - while some of the changes were mentioned in the patch notes I'll still elaborate.
The Maiden of Virtue change where she no longer puts the MT in Repentance makes using Blessing of Sacrifice 100% safe since it will no longer break out the Paladin out of Repentance first (like it used to be pre-patch).
Valets and Spectral Retainers' size increase is barely noticeable. If there's been any change.
Big Bad Wolf didn't use his knockdown ability once during the fight.
Siphoners and "mana elementals" before Curator have been significantly nerfed. Siphoners have next to no HP and it seems that the elemental's mana shield behaves strangely: we had a Mage Pyroblast pull them after our MT noticed that he'd take out 20-25% of their HP with a bow pull. However the Pyroblast (with AP + trinket) wasn't enough to 1 shot it. It brought it to 1% life and then it would use its mana shield. Even a Pyro crit wasn't enough to 1 shot it.
Mana Wyrms (post Curator ones) have had their HP nerfed into nothingness. A well geared Warrior with might even be able to solo a 3 pull with Recklessness...
Torment of the Worgen has been significantly buffed according to our melee classes. 200 shadow dmg every hit while the proc is active is what I've been told.
Woeful Healers are now level 140 - wtf?
As for Aran, I didn't notice anything THAT different with the Blizzard. Still can't barely see it with spell effects to the minimum. However his elementals are now killable and they should be killed unless you have 2 Warlocks.
We didn't notice anything different for the Thieves because we did them the way we always did (I put on my tanking gear, take off my weapon and tank them) but I'll suggest having our MT do it to see if they actually changed the deaggro portion of their disarm.
Medivh now cheats more often for the chess event: he actually used the fire cheat twice during the fight. Clerics and the Horde healers apparently heal for significantly more than before. And as someone mentioned before, you now roll for chest loot and the chest's lid was opening/closing for no reason.
As for Tinman: the rust has always been over time from what I can remember.
Theorycrafting procedures per role:
DPS = Theory -> Spreadsheet -> Practice
Healing = Theory -> Practice -> Logs
Tanking = Theory -> Theory -> Theory

That's odd. The six-digit Meteor always seemed like the defining feature of Al'ar Phase 2.
We saw the Hunter MD bug on both Mag and Gruul last night. We had a hunter MD one of the Channelers onto a tank, and it would consistently turn back to the hunter after the second or third shot hit (depending on crits). On Gruul, the misdirects on the pull to the MT and OT weren't providing nearly as much threat as in the past, causing even more issues with the "3rd threat HS" bug.
The hunter was definitely in LoS of the tank on all the above attempts.

Exactly, thats what made phase 2 challenging along with getting the adds. I know only 2 adds spawn when the meteor hits now (atleast on ptr it was like that), but now that you don't have to clump, i'm wondering if it is still 2 adds, and how those adds will react once spawned (if they will target and own the person they spawned on).
Also, each add does 3% dmg to Al'ar when killed, not sure how common knowledge that was or is, but thought i'd share that.
We'll be heading into TK tonight to maybe clear the place and maybe get some kael'thas attempts in, so if you don't get confirmation on Solarian, i'll let you know as soon as we head there how it goes if no one has shed any light by then.
When you dismount whilst flying, you do a little a swimming animation before falling. Someone mentioned this was due to corpses now falling from the sky if you happen to die mid-air, but I was unable to confirm this. If you want to see the animation, just dismount while riding forwards.
I used to get this by cancelling flight form while pushing against the ground. Nice to see other people enjoying the ridiculous looking animation. :P
Not quite game-breaking, but the new warlock's soulwell now plays a ding sound when you click on it, even if you already have a healthstone of that size. Made for quite a ruckuss when we first found out (queue reference to swirly ball), and makes me glad I had my sound turned off.
We took our first look at Al'ar last night. Since it was a meteor, we assumed the same historical grouping mechanic and did not test otherwise.
I can confirm that only two adds spawn, but we were grouped up such that any initial aggro was quickly overcome by an off tank. I don't recall anyone dying on the meteor or due to initial aggro from the adds--most deaths occurred moments afterwards by Al'ar charging.
Re: the iTunes remote in Mac WoW...it's really fucking annoying. There is no option to turn it off, and I really don't care what song is playing in the background (as if I didn't know what music was playing from my own damn collection).

I'm pretty sure corpses dont fall down when you die mid air. I just died but I was so far down I could just reach it as ghost. Could be something that happens if you are too far off the ground.
Anyone wanna test? :P

Very, very annoying.
Are you sure there's no way to turn it off? There's a set of options in keybindings, and maybe some in interface options.
Inform your dealers and whores of my credit, and pour me a goddamned drink!

There is nothing in interface or keybindings. I can only hope there's some sort of console option, or something in config.wtf, or whatever. This thing is driving me absolutely batty.

We did a fair bit of testing on the Arcane Anomalies. The hunter feign pull no longer works. It seems that they initially pull with no shield, and put it up when they enter combat. However, you cannot take them below 1% before the shield goes up. Hunter 3k crit, mage 4k, and warlock 5k all brought it down to exactly 1%. It would appear that we are now 'working as intended.'
This is probably due to the dismount check moving client-side.
Are you sure this has happened, rather than simply the removal of the GCD?
I'm not being facetious, I'm just wondering. Obviously this still has to be communicated to the server, and obviously it doesn't affect the ability to lag-fly inside to unreachable places, since presumably the flyable flag is still a server side check.
