I assure you, youre over-estimating the sextant by a wide margin. Pre-2.1 it *was* nuts becuase it procced 50% of the time you had a crit. Now its nerfed to 20%, like shiffar.

Cool, then. The best Mage trinket is for all intents and purposes, a BoE.

What's the opinion on Crusade for rogues? How does it stack up against things like the Abacus, bearing in mind how nuts haste is? Crusades should ramp up fast enough when dual wielding that it's almost a flat 120 AP.

When I "itemize" Crusade for Casters (Mages specifically, of course), I just consider it to be a +80 dmg trinket that's weaker at the start of fights. Of course it's not great on short fights and shouldn't be used there, but if you're on a long battle, you can assume, and therefore itemize as such, that it's either +80 dmg or +120 AP constantly.

And that's just awesome for a trinket.

Now the problem is will Blizzard nerf the trinket or not? Its been pretty much a reliable pattern that anything so far in game that seems too good has been nerfed a few weeks later, and IMO Crusade for most DPS classes is falling into that category.

Worth collecting if you can get the set cheap, but I'm hesitant spending more than 3-400g on the whole set.

I can definitely see it happening considering the relative ease of obtaining it.

If the deck is going for 3-400g, on your server, I would say it is easy to get. Ultimately, it's no easier to get than an Icon, for example. Both are comparable in power, as well. It will be powerful on DoT classes, where many other trinkets are lacking -- only powerful for nuke classes.

I don't expect to get the deck for less than 1100-1400 on my server, which is comparable to crafted gear in the same availability range. Frankly, I welcome the idea of finally replacing blue, or earlier, DPS trinkets.

It also has the check for being not as powerful in PvP settings. In fact, a powerful "BoE" trinket for raiding doesn't seem so bad and shows once again that Blizzard can separate the different paths of WoW players.

So it's Monday, anyone have a verdict on these cards?

I put in my piece about the Vengeance Card after a bit of testing in this thread, and some other people posted information on theirs as well. So far, they seem to be turning out much as expected. The biggest surprise for me being that Vengeance seems to benefit from spell damage.

I've had 3 cards drop so far:
- Three of Furies from a regular ogre in Blade Edge's Mountains
- Two of Blessings from a regular bog lord in Zangarnarsh
- Ace of Lunacy from regular Kargath

Is it me or are the 5-8 cards more rare than the Aces almost?

I ran Blood Furnace heroic yesterday and tested the vengeance card. Here's the recap data:

Damage: 9144 (2% of total damage)
Average per hit: 121.5
Max hit: 159
Average per crit: 230
Max Crit: 259
Crit%: 6,8

Must say that 2% of my total damage (not threat, that includes 20% of melee damage), is actually better than I expected from that card. The 121 average hit is much higher than the 105 suggested by the tooltip, but I had a shadowpriest and the HFC pvp buff might have been up during parts of the run (wasn't the times I actually thought about checking)

When I have time I'll try some serious testing in a buff-less environment to nail down the +spelldamage thing.

My rellevant stats were 208 +dmg and 5,03% spellcrit (5,09% melee crit), and 44,7% dodge/miss/parry

EDIT: Somebody on another thread just made me realize it's probably 1H Weapon Specialisation what's buffing the damage...

Not sure.. only seen 1 Ace of Blessings on my server since they started dropping (for an obscene price on the AH) and have been waiting with a full 2-8 for another Ace to appear now that I decided I wanted to make a deck. They don't seem too bad to me.

In the case of the "lvl 60" cards, 2-4 can drop from any overworld mob...5-8 can only drop in instances. I assume they mirrored that this time, which could account for their relative rarity.
